I've played Satisfactory since release. Gone through the crazy addict to burnt out phases several times. I've started new saves almost with every Update, only "completed" the game once, and never made factories as pretty as yours. Thanks for showing us your world, you've given me a lot of inspiration.

You have no idea the rollercoaster of emotions I just experienced. Given the time that's passed since your last livestream, I was beginning to think you'd quiet quit. I also restarted in 8 and although I'll never recapture the sense of discovery, I've had a lot of fun and power towers are awesome! I got a little tear in the eye in your intro, because I feel like I've been on the journey and I remember to building all these!

Oh man. This is the series that inspired me to start my own Satisfactory KZbin channel, so thank you! On one hand I'm super sad I wont see your big project finished, but on the other, a fresh start is sometimes the best thing you can do. I hope you really enjoy playing with lumen and I KNOW you'll love the blueprint dismantling and the lock and nudging of holograms. I'll be watching every single one of your episodes...again. :)

It's so awesome to see how other people progress, what mistakes they made and how they view them after longer play hours, how their aesthetics change over time. I'm about to start a brand new save after spending around 400 hours in my first save and I'm actually really excited to start over for Update 8

Just discovered your channel today with this video, and i am sincerely impressed by everything you have done. I can't express how much you have open my mind with the presentation of each factories. Of course you did put tons of hours into the creation of these factories so a single video of 1 hour can't represent the amount of effort and planning you have put into it. However I can tell that you have managed to unlock my desire to put a ton of effort like you did because it amazes me ! I hope one day my world would be as beautiful as yours :D PS: keep up the motivation, you are truely an amazing creator on Satisfactory !

Near the end of this video, you mentioned something about episode numbering, I thought I would drop my two cents down about that. I actually found your Satisfactory series from an episode somewhere in the mid-30's, at which point I went to your channel and watched them all from 1 -> now. So there are some of us out there who will want to watch the series in order. I, for one, would appreciate if they're still numbered. Thanks Darren!

Hi Darren. I first saw Satisfactory videos from other KZbinrs. The game looked interesting and I looked for a series that started Satisfactory since the beginning. That is how I found your channel, since you just started one. I eventually bought the game and really enjoyed watching what you did and then adjusting it to my play style. I'm happy that you took the decision to reboot the series, because I had the feeling that the mega-build didn't really fit your series anymore, because everything took so much time and the edits became too big. I felt like I was missing out on important decisions and felt 'detached' from the story I felt part of since the very beginning. So very brave of you and I'm really looking forward on the second series - count me in!

I'm currently at 400 hours in game, I finished Tier 8 in the Hub. I have only Space Elevator 4 left to manufacture. I haven't made any batteries yet, but I found some. So I haven't used drones yet, but plan on it. I have a few factories around the map making things like computers, heavy frames, modular engines, aluminum casings, but here's how I want to fill in the last Space Elevator order: I moved the Space elevator to 0, 0 on the map. I have a sushi belt running from a train station (soon to be replaced by a drone port) to a massive storage hub. The parts get sorted into their own container, all in one line of 100+ containers, and any excess get sent to the Space Elevator programmable splitter (which is set to remove Pasta, Magnetic Field Generators, Thermal somethings, and Assembly Director System) and then anything else not used goes to 1 AWESOME Sink for the whole map. Once the batteries are being produced, I'll replace the train station with a drone port and the drones will refill on batteries from this central hub only, then I'll put one drone port at each raw material (stuff like oil will be packaged on site and drone carried to the central hub to be unpackaged and used). I imagine it's going to be a mess waiting for items to sort from the sushi belt, but it is this exact chaos that I want to see happen. The shame of it all is that I do not have a good pc to be able to record it. I barely get to play at 12fps, in U7 because my pc can't handle U8 (I tried).

Of course it is sad to hear this series has ended, and that we will never see Big Shell finished, but I will look very much forward to seeing a new Satisfactory series from you. Besides your Anno series, which is my WDP top favorite also due to your great story telling in that series, this has been a very great series from you, not so much in story telling but a lot of teaching while you learned yourself, so yes looking very much forward to a new WDP Satisfactory series 😄

Great build. I'm on my sixth Satisfactory world myself. With either different starting locations or different philosophies of item (and pioneer) transport (currently avoiding trains as a challenge). I do prefer the early stages of the game myself (and yes, they do go by very fast), when things are a lot "tighter" in terms of what you have to work with. The only downside is the need to collect biomass again, which is just as irritating to do as ever. But then, you know the solution to that.

I love the idea of a new start; one thing I'd like to see is simple architecture early on that looks decent, so you can avoid big concrete cubes when you don't have access to quartz/awesome shop upgrades yet. If the focus of the series is building, and not exploring. Its now possible to start with all alternate recipes unlocked… it allows you to build the base and focus on the perfected build.. and not tear down and rebuild again and again each time you get a new vital alternate. Thats what ill do for my new playthrough. As im tired of exploring

Its the same dilemma i had with Dyson Sphere Program, i knew nothing starting off, and 200 hours into the same world, i made a lot of progress, but man, if anyone other than me played that world, they would be completely clueless where anything is or goes haha A lot of my designs there were based on games like Staisfactory, which later on kinda damned me into following that design process without needing to build over from scratch. A lot of choices i made also kept me from making progress in the future, i.e placing my oil refineries in the middle of an already built area, effectively isolating that area, other designs built only to work with a few, then realizing my design is useless when i need to expand and so on lmao Tempted to start a new game with the things i know now, i genuinely wonder how fast i'll progress in comparison, or if i'll spend the same amount of hours fighting Prigression Paralysis xD

And by comparison I am one of them. As much as I like the game I just cannot bring myself to design and construct those huge factories all over the map and funnel resources to make the late stage tiers or that stupid end game delivery of 10,000 ridiculous-level parts to the space elevator.

I got burnt out when trying to make a factory that made all the computer goods (circuits, connectors, computers, oscillators, supercomputers and the radio thingies). It was annoying because you kinda need all of those for a lot of lategame things so you kinda need to overproduce most of these to make the rest... a complete mess and very annoying to make. I also HATED working with trains. So, by the time I got to the las elevator phase I was like "nah, I'm good" and moved onto playing a different game. I go in and out of playing the game. My first 3 world's were abandoned due to bad planning and just being a noob, so I took a break for like 3 or 4 months. Then I decided to ty it again with a freind that is new to the game and this save has been going really well. In fact I've actually progressed all the way to the final stage and am trying to get the particle accelerator now to get rid of nuclear waste (ive never gotten past the second to last stage before hand). If you feel defeated id honestly either delete everything and start from scratch, or start a new world with better planning in mind and with inspiration. Overdo everything and think big, also don't be afraid to try something you think is ridiculous, because it isn't if it works 😂 travel the map also, sometimes a new area might spark a bit of inspiration for a new base in a different biome.

Guys is it advised to make a main storage of all the crafting items or just leave the items at their separate factory and then feed those resources to other factories? Currently what im doing is if i unlock a new stuff that is required for buildings, i make a small production of it and lead the resource into a main storage, the problem with this is that i need to build the same factories all over again when i need to build a new factory that requires that material.

The devs intended this to be a "chill and relaxing" game. You should absolutely continue this map anytime you feel nostalgic - with no need to hurry. Nothing speaks against a new world, but just leaving this one to rot would be kind of sad.

As a normal player I’d agree, but as a KZbinr I have to do content where the viewers are interested. The series unfortunately dropped off quite a lot, so it couldn’t continue. As a regular player I can play in and finish the world if I want though.

I can't bring myself to restarting on a new save. I'd much rather just pool my resources and delete everything than start unlocking everything from the beginning. Do the saves typically transfer over to a new update? Or the upcoming release?

11:30 you mention parts going into the boxes (I presume that's containers), and then if the boxes are full, it goes into the AWESOME Sink. How do you do that? I thought boxes would start emptying as soon as they have an output conveyor. It seems like you said your box fills up, then only outputs stuff to the Sink once the container is full. How is that possible? I got back into Satisfactory again last week, after abandoning it around Xmas. Actually before then, buy I came back to see the Xmas specials. They were OK! I'd got as far as drones, oil, and starting on nuclear. But I just got bogged down with it, and everything was spaghetti, nothing was efficient or balanced properly. It was my first game, lasted months as I kept discovering new tech. But I'm starting again with a bit more patience and a plan to make actual buildings, at least for most things. Currently got a load of coal feeding a power station on concrete foundations. I'll put walls up when I feel like it, everything's within the limits, and spaced out pretty well if I do say so myself. Also got an early factory making one of the components for Smart Plating, also needs walls, but it's laid out and disciplined, not just splatted. Only found one hard drive so far! I might go exploring when I build a half-decent vehicle. Though really it's the jetpack / electric jetpack that's best, but that's not any time soon. My old map had mains cables going all over the place! Anywhere I've been, there's power available! I just fly with the electric jetpack (whatever it's called) and plop power poles as I travel.

You need a smart splitter - it has an overflow setting so that if one of the belts is backed up then it sends the rest out the overflow side.

Wish I could get my hours played from Epic Games without installing the game two more times. I am pretty sure my total hours played on both Steam and Epic are around 500 plus. And I don't mind starting over. Never finished the final two tiers anyway.

I enjoyed playing many hours of Satisfactory Update 5 but there is no way I'm going back to it until it's finished. Which will probably be never.
