Can a defendant can request to dismiss a case?

I don’t want to be a victim of a predatory lawyer. I was asked to dismiss a wrongful termination with prejudice, can I still sue them later for new cases after they hire me back? Obviously not the previous wrongful termination case, like new wrongful termination cases. If she’s just trying to manipulate me into losing my job I want to know.

Hello, I have a question - I have received the same notice (CIV-110) to dismiss. In fact I received the notice three times. If the Defendant received a copy from the Plaintiff. Does the defendant needs to respond - I noticed on the form #3, its says “to the clerk” does this means the defendant has to sign and print his name and return it to the Plaintiff and copy to the court? And on second page does this pertain to any monies, the defendant received , while the case was pending? Or was the form just a notify the courts and the defendant?

I don't understand about the part of waiving cost fees. So I paid $550 to file the case, now I can ask the court to waive it and get a refund if I am dismissing the case?

Do all parties plaintiffs have to sign the voluntary dismissal form or can your attorney sign it on behalf of you in a civil case.

We want to reconcile; however my husband’s attorney does not want to help to file with court the dismissal because my husband’s mother controls what’s to be done because she pays the attorney (very controlling mother) can my husband file the dismissal form by himself to the court? Thank you 😊🙏
