Nice choice I picked up 2 of these, wanted the no rust surface, hate changing blades and wanted redundancy (a single bandsaw length). BTW the brake engages the off button, no need to actually use the off switch unless you just like pushing it. :)

A nice band saw machine. I have a band saw very similar to this model. And I am using it without any problems. Thank you for the introduction and detailed information. all the best. Big greetings.

Professor Sedge, another outstanding class! I have been using bandsaws for years and you explained very well why I get hesitation marks and why some are deeper. I have a very high end 14cs that I have had issues with out of the box. I now know where to look for alignment bolts under the Table. GREAT to see Big “D” back being the student for us. You two knock it out of the park. Watched 3 times already.

Great overview! I am going to use the technique you recommended to check for drift on my Laguna bandsaw. I use the 1” Resaw King with carbide teeth that almost eliminates the kerf marks during resawing.

Just got this same saw, my question to you is, on your lower wheel does the blade stay in the middle like the top one or does it ride close to the front edge? Every time I loosen the tension and set it in the middle it drifts back to that edge. Thanks
@sedgetool Жыл бұрын
The blade will drift forward or back toward the rim if the blade is not originally tensioned correctly.

Nice! Harvey Industries to stationary woodworking tools what Festool is to portable tools. But THAT is a whole other video. There may not be one thing you can point to that makes it so good, but you put all the little things together that makes it great.

, who do you guys think I am, Norm Abrahams!? 😂🤣I do not have the money or space for a monster band saw like that. 🙂 My shop is 9'x11' with a 7 foot ceiling, my budget is what ever she who must be obeyed says it is. 🤣 Great video, I learned several things, thanks for sharing.

@@sedgetool Thanks for the video Sedge. I've tried a couple TimberWolf (they had a BOGO deal) and there is no comparison versus Highland Woodworking Wood Slicer. The blades are a bit thinner and they grind the back of the blade - saw marks are minimal. Keep up the great work!
