Watched this as a kid after Full House before bedtime. I always had to watch the entire closing credits because of the key change to the less menacing major key at the end. That symbolized all those intense, often frightening stories coming to a happy ending. Now I’m a 911 dispatcher nearly 30 years later. How time sorts things.

Pretty sure this version of the closing theme was only used in the reformatted, 30 minute syndicated version of the show; I don’t recall the closing theme being this long in the original episodes. Thanks for posting! Loved watching this show back when it originally aired from 89 to 96 on CBS, and I’m glad Justice Network started showing it again last fall!

You're right, this is from a syndicated episode because it includes the director, writers, and producers. In the original episodes, those were included in the opening credits and not the closing credits.

And I’m guessing that’s why this version of the closing theme included one more… Well for lack of a better word here, “round“ of the first part of it before the end.

Look at ole bill shaftner! Back when TV actually taught a few things. That music does something to me.

You know I know this is a similar comment but this is really one but then TV met something. I’m very glad about the person that came today and I’m very glad I come to no emergency responders. My God bless them all this music it really sounds uplifting to me.
This is the same guy that also produced another CBS Series True Detectives with Gregory Harrison, Brat Camp on abc, The Teen Files with Leeza Gibbons , Blow Out on Bravo and he also Co-Produced Big Brother from 2-7 before stepping down after 2006
