Rescue machinery has arrived at the Stilfontein Mine shaft as Phase Two of the rescue mission takes shape. A resident has urged the illegal miners underground to cooperate with the authorities. Ziniko Mhlaba has more.

There area must be cleared from any supporters, local rescuers, unions, family members, etc.. Only the police, medical team and the rescue team should be there. This is actually a crime scene. The area must also be blocked off with bob wire where there people coming out of the mine/shaft are kept that they cannot escape and from there to the police station and then hospital if so. If the supporters don't want to leave the scene they also have to be taken in custody as they are interfering with police activity and safety.
