Haligtree knights are the strongest respawning enemies in the game in my opinion. They got decent health, decent shield that they can counterattack with, holy damage weapon buff, sorcery, they have flasks, and they can also cast a healing spell

They also give enough runes to be worth the kill, but not too much that it's ridiculous. But man do they hit HARD.

Haligtree Knights are OP. They have a knight moveset, meaning they're aggressive and their attacks are also fast, leading to a lot of poise breaks. They have high offensive stats, meaning their speed and aggression also kills fast. They have extremely high HP and defenses. And to top it off, they can heal slowly and immediately.

I get the feel Haligtree Knights are best of all knights, (after all, they utilize everything from sorcery to flasks) but there are not enough of them to serve in a proper army. They are elite task force protecting the would-be-Erdtree, probably taught and guided by genious Miquella himself. Because if there was enough of them to form an army, surely they would fight alongside Malenia. And Leyndell Knights are perfect balance between elite force who also enjoy numerical supremacy.

Malenia is the one with a personal army, the Cleanrots. There is one sword, the Miquellan Knight's Sword, but its description says it was never bestowed to any knight

She was also known as The Arbitress in the initial version of the game but was later cut out after patch 1.0. What’s your point about holy damage? You realize the Cleanrots also use Miquella’s incantation right? This shows both Haligtree and Cleanrot knights obey the twins. The Cleanrots swore to follow Malenia no matter what but they still use her brothers incantation and can even drop his lilies. The Haligtree Knights swore to protect the Haligtree to the very end but they also protect Malenia from invaders. Miquella and Malenia are twins, and their knights will try to protect them from anything.
