I remember back when I used to get relaxers I had a stylist that used too strong of a relaxer. She did my hair about three times but I had to quit her. My scalp was burning like crazy from the relaxer, then my scalp would peel large flakes. By the time it started to subside, it was time to go back to her.

Girl every time I see these videos..I get reminded why I don't have a relaxer. Not because the relaxer is bad but because of the maintenance and the fact that my hair is ultra fine and easily damaged and easily over-processed. And also I hated the flatness of it. I'm like why am I going to spend all the time, money and energy putting volume into my hair when my natural hair already has volume. 😂😅🤣 If I want straight hair I slap on a wig that I can take off at night. They have silk bonnets and I don't know about other people but I wash my bonnets and headscarves/ head wraps.

@@JG_SmileSOBright the only people who ever gave me a roller set were the Puerto Ricans in Massachusetts USA. I had me hair done by black stylist in the USA, UK and Caribbean and none of then gave me a roller set! Yeah I'm stick with my Polynesian stylist at the white Aveda Salon, my black trichologists, my black barbers and myself. I've lost all faith in black stylists that i dont have to travel 2 to 4 to 9 hours for. I love Crystal but that's 9 hours on a flight for me. I dont have time.

Back in my relaxer days, i only relaxed once a year or twice a year. My hair was healthy. My hair acted out getting touch ups every 6 to 8 weeks. It woukd shed😢

I was just wondering, what is a normal amount of shedding? I often have to wear my hair up and when i remove the hair tie or clip theres quite a bit of hair that comes out. When i shower a lot of hair seems to come out. Im just not sure if this is normal or if i should do something....

How long are the strands that come out and do they have the follicle bulb attached? How often do you shampoo and detangle your hair. My hair is around 4 inches long. I lose very little hair when I detangle and shampoo every week. Maybe 20 strands..although they say you lose 100 a day...I don't see that much when I detangle my hair.
