Rescued and Reborn: A 1995 GT Talera Transformation

Ever wondered what you could do with a $60 Facebook Marketplace find? I took a chance on a well-used 1995 GT Talera and breathed new life into it. After a year in storage, I swapped out nearly every part with upgrades I had on hand, giving this bike a new twist. Thus far I've spent about $265 total on this build (not including the existing parts I already had). In addition to my existing parts, I had to buy some parts I didn't have. The most expensive part being the Brooks Saddle at $135.
Future plans:
I'm excited to see where this build goes next. Stay tuned for potential upgrades like fenders, racks, and a possible Rivendell-inspired aesthetic. This bike could evolve into a commuter (grocery getter), a tourer (doubtful), or something else entirely.
