beautiful restoration. one of the things that I find interesting about these 1930's toy vehicles is that their styling is more fanciful than realistic (like the 70s and 80s vehicles)...they remind me of the vehicles one would see in the comic books of the time. the bright colors of this particular example really bring that difference to mind

Another master piece for an antique it looks like a sporting kind a dump truck something someone would do these days lowering the cab I know you like to bring back your restoration to it's original look and you do a fantastic job....I think it would look cool if a couple of exhaust pipes coming up on each side of the cab a way to open the hood and show a detailed engine and all the extras that a person would see if they opened a hood, in the cab 2 seats, a dash, a stick shift, 3 peddles, a console, cover the back of the cab, windshield, side mirrors, fuel tanks, tool boxes, some rubber tires, 2 per side in the back, and etc. I know that sounds over the top and ridiculous but that's me.... Moral of the story: just because something looks FUBAR doesn't mean it always is. I love your outside the box thinking on the wheels. I thought you might try to cut out the bad part and weld in washers, but the metal was probably too thin and your way was much more KISS and effective. Well done.
