- 3 coat of primer and wet sanding to get rid of pits. - Two tone sparky paint. - Making a tool just for battery spring. - Feeding and petting the kitty at the end. This is beyond perfect! Amazing, gorgeous, wonderful! 10 star job! Thank you so much.

I love the fact that these are toys not collectables. But toys from a time when children didn't have alot of toys and the toys were pretty much loved to death. It's nice to see them back to their original glory.

Interesting, I don't recall ever seeing rust cover the paint. It usually eats through the paint through a scratch or a weak spot and separates the paint from the metal. Nice job saving another piece of history for years to come.☺

I don't know if I like the two tone. Maybe a pearl paint job would have been more interesting. I don't know if powder allows pearl though. Ultimately the final decision is left up to the restorer. 👌

The color separation wasn't as good as it might have been. After the tape is applied the edges should be burnished to ensure a crisp color line.

Excellent! This buttefly-shaped lever from 8:46 onwards kept me in suspense until the very end... Amazing. I would just slap in an off-the-shelf switch... but then I could not even imagine that they'd use the body metal to complete the circuit. Well, that was well before the Age of Plastics.

Two tone powder coating experiment was interesting. A lot of the Wyandotte toys were originally red or green but that gets boring. Nice job.

I think the two tone paint job was really interesting at the dividing line. I like it in that it is unique and some what cool looking. Loved watching the restoration especially the sand blasting. Always enjoy watching that.

Another surprising finish. Oh, maybe, refinish. I thought it was a two part body when I spotted it on your Postal van video. I thought it was cool enough to search your videos for it. Glad I found it, I must have missed it originally. Thanks for the videos and looking forward to the next one. That filler primer really does a great job on the pitting, for sure. The cat is a great helper I see. At least he doesn't send the cars all flying off your table.

I love the learning curve that Chip Channel exhibits, a lot of restorations are straight-forward but attempting a two-tone (and admittedly not quite accomplishing it) is a nice departure, and makes viewing the videos worthwhile.

Magnificent restoration. A few Qs: 1) What keeps the wheels at the outsides of the axles? I'd think during play that they would tend to come towards the centers of the axles. 2) Why not fill up the eyebrow (above the windshield) notches with some filler? Were those cuts really needed for flexing when you change a battery, etc? 3) I saw how you mushroomed the one end of each axle, but what keeps the axle on (the opposite end seemed unmodified)? Again, great vid!
