Our trip to the beach was rather eventful...

Another wonderful video! I was kind of worried that your accident on the beach may ruin the rest of the trip, but it's a relief to see how quickly you recovered! Steve did the right thing to pray for you and it's really good to see fellow believers making high quality travel videos like these! How long do you reckon is needed for the Garden Route? We'd only be in SA for 23 days, spending the 1st week in Somerset West. We're wondering if we should allow 2 weeks for the garden route or do 1 week East and another week west, to places like Shelly Point and Lampert's Bay.

That is a desire of ours... to be the salt and light and shine the light of Jesus to a hopeless world... Yes... the swelling really went down quick! I see Somerset West is just before St Lowry's pass.... which is closer to the start of the journey which is great. After you pass through / over St Lowrys pass, make a stop at the Peregrine Farm stall... its a quaint place where you can buy natural soaps and 'buck' pies :-D Its a difficult question as we were in SA for months at a time, with Namibia in between. You can certainly spend a week in the garden route, but bear in mind that there will be about 1 days travel to and from garden route. Depends if you want to relax or explore more?! Might be worth going to garden route for 1 week to start with and see how it goes...(?). We stayed a bunch of time at an airbnb inside a gated community that you could walk down to the beach from, just outside of wilderness. Where are you visiting from?

@@steveandnaz This is really wonderful! We live in Hong Kong, where only 1 in 10 people identify as Christian and most of them are simply nominal Christians. I've been praying that the Lord will connect us with true believers and it's been happening more and more this year! Are there actually peregrine falcons at the Peregrine Farm Stall? Believe it or not, but a peregrine falcon nested in our building last year! As we're using Asia Miles to book our accommodation (which basically means we get it for free), we'd be booking everything in advance, after planning our trip. At the moment we're still in the planning stage, having booked just the 1st week. I'm also considering to move back to SA and plan to look at property during our holiday. From what I've found online, it seems if one's able to get a 40 sq m flat in a place like Hermanus or Mossel Bay for less than a 10th of the price that a 20 sq m place sells for in Hong Kong! Has Steve ever considered moving back to SA?
