That is not a bat that's a flying fox
@Megabattie4 жыл бұрын
@@samsungisbetter1015 If you're going to attempt to correct someone on my channel, perhaps you could get your facts straight. He is both a bat and a flying-fox. Flying-foxes (with an hyphen, you will note) are a kind of fruit bat. All flying-foxes are bats; not all bats or all fruit bats are flying-foxes. He is a Black Flying-Fox So make sure you use an hyphen to denote that this is not a fox who flies, but a type of bat. And learn to recognise that bat is a correct term, as is flying-fox. Bat is an umbrella term for all the microbats and the fruit bats and the flying-foxes and the blossom bats.

He's already been released. The thing is - wildlife rescue is set up to rescue, rear and release. We don't keep pets and we don't keep them because they're cute. They're either raised and released, of if we are stupid and don't do our jobs properly, the bat will be euthanased if it is unable to be released with its age mates. It's not a matter of wanting to keep a baby - it's a matter of what the right thing for the baby is - and the right thing is to release an independent and competent little juvenile who is able to join the colony and integrate, not go around looking for humans to supply food for them. An unreleasable bat who approaches humans is euthanased.
