I have great news! This sweet girl got adopted! One wonderful lady adopted her and she's finally happy and has life and home she deserves. She is in warm, sleeps inside, but she also has a backyard to play with the other dogs. Of course I'll stay in touch with her owner and help whatever she needs. 🙂

Cried through this whole video. At first because she seemed just thrown away and nobody should be treated that way. Next I wept that you fed & rescued her. Then the whole time you and Sanja trimmed and bathed away her misery I couldn’t stop my tears. She was just so filthy and having her life sucked out by all the fleas but you freed her from whatever had happened to get her to that place. I’m sure many of us thought that because she had lost her vision and perhaps some hearing due to getting old, she had simply been turned out of what had been her home. Then I suddenly realized that I was crying for the loss of my 16 year old Silky Terrier who wandered away from the yard of friends who had taken me & my daughter in when I lost our home as a single mother back in the 1980s. He too was blind from cataracts & deaf when he wandered out of the gate their children had left open and we never saw him again. The pain & guilt was unbearable as we put up posters all over the neighborhoods, advertised in papers and knocked on doors. So Damjan, THANK YOU that you responded to the Facebook post, drove for many kilometers to pick her up and gave her such a wonderful makeover in hopes of her being adopted to spend her final days, months, years being loved once again. I pray that this was the ending that my little boy was given 😭💙😢

You said something very important here. There have been lots of assumptions that this sweet girl was turned out from her home or ignored by her prior family. That's just not always the case. The fact that she did take to the grooming like an old pro tells you that someone took the time and trouble and expense to have her groomed. She may have been blind for a long, long time and simply wandered away from home (like your dog) or she may have been 'dognapped' by people looking to get what they could for her. When they saw she was blind, they just turned her out. You just can't know what her story is so we ought to hold back on being quite so critical and just be glad that you found each other and things will (hopefully) be kinder to her from now on. And I can only hope that something equally good happened to your Silky! Maybe he was found by a little girl who kept him in colorful scarves and sitting on silk pillows with tea party dishes filled with ground sirloin! (Well, you never know!)

The sad thing is, she was definitely someone's pet at one time. She had been bathed, groomed, and trimmed. You can tell by her actions. The CRIMINAL thing is, these owners threw her out to the street with no more regard than some would throw a hamburger wrapper out the car window.

When pet owners become financially strapped, the first thing they do is abandon their pets to a miserable existence on the streets. Pet owners need to experience the same existence of innocent animals they so cruelly abandoned. Danil and his girlfriend are making a difference in the lives of dogs that have come upon dire circumstances. I would hope that the dogs continue to be fostered, adopted or placed in a dog-friendly shelter. Thanks to Danil and girlfriend.

My dog was blind for almost 6 months before I even realized it. She walked around the house & out in the yard with no problem. Dogs' noses are so sensitve that it's not really hard to take care of one that's blind. If I lived near this cutie, I would adopt her for sure.

What you do is save lives, I only wish there were more people in the world like you. I know she's trying but watching her bathe the dog was grueling. The dog is stressed and it took her way too long and she was not steadily holding her. She was also scrubbing her improperly. She needs to be more gentle. She has no training in this video.

I love watching the professional, loving work that Damjan performs on these fur babies. They are starving, neglected, abused and look at the condition of this poor dog. Can't tell yet, if it is a male or female. It appears to be sight challenged. My hope is that the vet Damjan takes it to can help facilitate a path of recovery and help for this sweet tempered little creature. It is a shame to see how long the fur babies fur has grown. It is knotted, matted, many are flea, and tick infested and it is very painful for the dog. It is weighing the dog down, and is filthy with feces, etc, as the fur was in the way of bodily functions. It is weighted down with dried feces, draws bugs, etc., driving the dogs crazy with biting at them, they are crawling and causes itching. The dog can't get at them as fur is tangled, mangled and painful. I'm a retired RN and Damjan is a compassionate care giver and renders a loving service for these little creatures. Please consider a Thank you to Damjan.It doesn't matter if it's a little one. It all helps Damjan. He is also supplying not only the groom, but his materials and tools. He has vets examine these dogs and take care of them. He has staff to help him with various needs, only some family can volunteer to small degrees. He renders services requiring cleaning, sanitizing. Without Damian's help, these fur babies would starve or be subject to abuse and death on the streets and roads. These little animals are scared to death, were starved in need of medical help and attention. They only wanted to love someone and be loved in return. Damjan and his clinic work to provide a clean safe loving forever home. These dogs from being abused, have wounds that need treating and antibiotics. Some require surgery. We can see this poor creatures condition. Damjan is a very caring person, in how he handles the animals. The animals are worn out trying to survive. They have in some cases given up on life, based on their past history of neglect, abuse and abandonment on the streets. Thank you Damjan for your service in grooming, and help to these poor creatures. Where can we send a thank you via mail from Florida, US. Damjan, both you and your girlfriend did a remarkable transformation on this poor neglected stray. Between the bath, drying and final groom, incredible! The vet will be able to find out what has happened to her left leg and hip, she was extremely sensitive there. Both of you are angels!

For such a tiny dog to be out on her own was very dangerous, but add to that that she is blind and it becomes doubly so. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Damian, for driving all that way to find her and for bringing her back with you to clean and groom her with such gentleness and kindness. What an amazing transformation. The poor dog was so lethargic when you first picked her up. After getting rid of all the matted hair and a warm bath, food, water and most of all, the tenderness and love, she got her energy back and I'm sure she feels like a new doggie. I loved watching.

So true. People leave animals who are helpless and settled in the sidewalk waiting to die, but the worst thing about it is it could take years before she died, depending on an occasional toss of food in her direction. Nothing worse than enduring a slow painful death. Which, makes you an angel for not just determining that no one would want her and just because she was blind. I had a small dog that had been with me for years , who my vet told me she losing her sight. When I asked him what to do hè said the best thing would be to put her down. I loved her so much but did what he said. To this day, until I saw your video about this poor dog,I realized that her life was not over and she could have lived for years peacefully with me. I will never make that mistake again. Thank you for showing me the right way to treat pets, even as they age, they will still be happy being loved by their owner.

It takes a special kind of person to take it upon themselves to give a stray and blind dog that very special extra touch of love. Most people wouldn't even touch the animal, but clearly they don't have that same goodness at heart that this very talented person does. Grooming a dog correctly takes love and commitment. It's not simply a wash and trim. This gentleman and his girlfriend put love into the job. God bless you and your girlfriend for giving your very special attention to these suffering street dogs who only need a little love. Now the way they look their chances of finding a forever home go up tremendously!! 👍
