I can’t imagine how anyone that ever loved a dog abandons that dog. The dog goes from being in a home (may not be given love or affection) to the dangerous, scary, and unknown life in the streets. Owners (clearly not family members) just drop it off like trash. Owners did not have the decency to take the dog to a shelter where it will be fed, have a safe place to sleep, and potential chance of adoption. Despicable people!

I cannot understand why pets are so callously abandoned and have to cope with the pitfalls of life on the streets. This dog was fortunate to be rescued by Milan and adopted by the Danish ambassador. Sometimes animals run away and get lost. I believe that's how we got our little boy. The least little noise and he tries to run, he's terrified. I believe they tried to find him and couldn't. He was very young, and we learned this about him quickly, fortunately. He went from Texas, to New Mexico, and has been with us in Illinois for at least 8 years.
