A friend reached out to me after the fired video and said he took his 2005 Saturn Ion Redline apart years ago and needed it put back together. It had been apart for so long that he did remember where the connectors went and didn't really have the motivation to get outside and mess with it. Gabe and i headed over in the morning expecting the perfect day to work on a car outside, instead we ended up working in the rain all day.

Seriously. I just quit my job due to some personal bs. Aaaand car snaps a lower ball joint. Literally had to beg and borrow for a tow because if it got impounded i would have lost all my belongings. Great idea. Check out Bill Pulte (@pulte) on Twitter. He is crowdsourcing people helping people. JR can be the guy doing the work for local families with transportation issues, such as a dead car or need a beater car to get back on their feet. Then he can reach out to his followers and others on social media to contribute via GoFundMe for the project expenses. JR grows the channel and get's ad revenue, people in need get a roadworthy car, and we all win.

I couldn't give a shit about the R8. It's like a fad on youtube to buy these salvaged supercars and fix them. I don't care, I have no interest in supercars - I will most likely never own a super car. I like when JR fixes these normal cars, because it seems like something I could do, anyone could spend the time to learn a little about wrenches, how craigslist works, and flip cheap cars. It is cool seeing this unique, funny, interesting guy, fix cheap cars and flip them. It seems more real to me. More down to earth. By the way if that Ion came with the boast gauge from the factory that means it is a competition package and it will have a limited slip differential.

Just set up a 10x12 canopy...I picked mine up cheap- but I've swapped several engines under tarps..set up a van or truck to tie to and use pvc to make a "t" pee...plenty of room and your dry.

But I had to do it on a 2005 ford Thunderbird...fortunately the lincoln ls 4dr shares the same jaguar design. Those guys with the lincolns work on their cars..tbird guys take them to dealers.

It says the O2 Heater is failed on both banks. I replaced both sensors, no dice. I checked the grounds. All good. I saw the PCM can cause that, but that's an extreme swap. Any idea of what I should do?

That saturn uses cobalt ss drivetrain. Common ish stuff

Joey M: I’d double check any ideas in forums and if nothing else works, proceed with PCM swap. I know it seems like a huge ordeal. Just go slow and keep track of all fasteners etc. that you remove. (Always disconnect the battery first!) Good luck!!! 😉🍻

I'd check the wiring before changing the PCM. Heaters are only needed during warm-up in cold weather regardless. Probe the line by the PCM on a cold startup and see if you have voltage. If you do, problem is not there. Not familiar with the car but if the PCM is not providing +5 volts itself than its tripping a relay somewhere. Something like this I'd probably work backwords and find a rubbed through and corroded copper power line somewhere. If the PCM is getting burned it probably a symptom and not a cause.

The camera does weird things to car sounds. I’ve noticed this several times when I was standing next to the car hearing it run and then it sounds totally different on the video. It can amplify ticks that aren’t really there and other things.

If it is the same as the non-supercharged Eco-tech, that sounds like the timing chain slapping the cover. Mine would do the same thing for the first minute or so after startup, but would quiet down after running.

I have 2007 Honda Accord I put a brand new interstate battery in it starts up dash lights everything after 2 days of sitting it’s dead I had jump it. What could drain my battery what test should do?

Gotta be a current draw somewhere... I’d start by looking for lights, maybe a bad door/trunk/glove box light switch. That sounds new enough to have some kinda of auto low voltage shutdown. Maybe something is connected directly to the battery 🍻

Check the relay for the AC... these overheat and burn closed and run the battery dead even with the ignition off.
