Topaz Sharpen AI is absolutely next level! It's rescued images I thought for sure where too soft to use. Nothing that Adobe has comes close!

Thank you for the insights as to the order you use the programs in and explaining so clearly why. I honestly don't know what I would do without Topaz Denoise, Gigapixel AI and Sharpen AI. Literally, in many cases, as I am certain in thousands of other artist's situations - we would be - keeping it polite - in "heap big trouble"! And, the people at Topaz could not be nicer and offer better, more sincerely concerned support, when you have a problem or question. Thanks again for your excellent tutorials. I'll be back.

Good video Anthony. You accidently resolved at headache Topaz always gives me. Going from LR to Denoise to Gigapixel to Sharpen, I ended up with four files of which I always delete the middle two. By editing the "original" in Gigapixel and Sharpen, the middle two files are never created - never thought of that before. Yes! Thanks Anthony!

I have been using these three programs, with an emphasis on Gigapixel, to 'rescue' photos (a lot of them cropped) shot on older cameras, a Nikon D70s and a D80

I've been impressed with all three Topaz apps, Gigapixel, Sharpen AI, and especially Denoise AI.

Perfect demonstration. I have gigapixel and AI sharpen latest version. Now I know the best way to use it and the best steps. Thank you!! I only have to determine if I have motion blur or lens blur however in Auto seems like the program figures it out in most cases.

I should try this order in my workflow. I always use Topaz Gigapixel AI last. Thanks Anthony.

Thanks for posting. I just got Gigapixel AI so I'm still on the low end of the learning curve, but I've seen some amazing results so far--I've even managed to get early 2,000s images from down to around 1.2 MP to look great filling my 32-inch monitor (I've yet to make large prints but will try that soon). So far, I've just used whichever mode seems appropriate but it's not always obvious which will work best. I just figured out how to display four different types simultaneously as you've shown. I use DxO PhotoLab 5 for RAW conversion and it's not clear where in the workflow it makes sense to use GPAI. Perhaps after making initial adjustments, such as tonality and NR, in PL5, I could save as a TIFF and then use GPAI, returning to PL5 or Nik for further tweaking (including sharpening) Also, PL5's DeepPRIME NR is amazing, so I wonder if Topaz DeNoise would be redundant (plus there are many DxO sharpening options so Sharpen AI may also be redundant). I see that you have Nik Sharpener Pro--how does that compare to Sharpen AI?

I find that this works OK only sometimes. I mainly shoot birds, and after upscaling the image will usually look worse when you zoom into it vs just leaving it low res, so I tend to just leave it. Sharpen ai works sometimes but mostly it oversharpens, even when changing models and settings.

Thanks. However In previous vids you suggested NOT to remove blur in Gigapixel if you were going to then follow up with Sharpen ai. I like to keep the Gigapixel deblurring / sharpen quite low as per your previous advice because you get fewer artefacts that Sharpen then makes worse.

Thanks for another great overview. Next question. If you also need to replace sky, would you do that before or after the gigapixel/sharpen workflow. Assume afterwards, but wanting to confirm.

Hi Anthony I am wandering if you could tell me how do I update the version of what product of Topaz be it De Noise.. Gigapixel etc... Thanks from 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺

You noted that a limitation of Lightroom when using plug-ins is that you have to send a tiff file to gigapixel AI. Why not just start in gigapixel AI?

Might be a good idea always to start your workflow from LR so all your images beginning their post processing life from of LR's digital asset manager.

Anthony, I am using a Mac M1 and have updated Gigapixel, but now once I save a rendered photo the colors are way off. Any suggestions?

Do you delete the original (RAW) photo from Lightroom and just keep the final result after using Topaz. Some how I can't see keeping the "bad" RAW Photo, if you now have a "good TIFF" photo or file. Does this make sense to do , sir?

Why use it as a plugin, when you can bring a RAW file into these apps process them and export them as DNG files rather than TIFF. Then bring the DNG into Lightroom or whatever editor you use.

I liked your videos and the result is good. But I don't know if you or any of your followers are having trouble with the Topaz products. I purchased the trio of Denoise, Sharpen and Giga pixel just 5 days ago. To date I have not be able to sue those products because they won't even open from the start. I have contacted Topaz support with no answer or help. Just wanted to put this information out for other potential users.

You are not alone, I've had the Topaz suit since they came out and every version or so, they screw something up in the install script. Right now, I can only run SharpenAI as Administrator on Win10. Something is funky with the permissions for parts of the application.

This video seems "soft" to me, all the rest of the screen is completely sharp as are other videos, this is a shame as it therefore looses some of the message you are putting across, hopefully it's a UK/KZbin problem, to me everything in the video is very poor. I love your tutorials and usually there is no problem.
