Nice fix !👍 That glue issue plagues all electronic products. It's the first thing to check and remove. I own a GX-95 and sooner or later it will need servicing.😂 Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Hello, I would like to ask if the added capacitors compensate for the high frequency loss due to head wear?

The GX-95 mk.II was £400 in the UK in 1991. It wasn't the most high-end deck with the best materials, but it was well reviewed and one of the best at its price point. Hi-Fi Choice said the dolby circuits were "almost completely transparent".

Nice find! about the glue! I think I'm gonna remove it on my deck as well, just tp avoid issues in the future. I have a GX-75 MK II which is basically the same deck, just without the side panels. I will also try adding those caps as well. By the way, can you tell me where did you get the frequency response tape from? Thanks!

My friend reduced THD from 8% to 0.7% just by removing the glue!

@@hifirulezzz I'll clean that up this weekend and I'll let you know. I'll try to do some measurements before and after, because I don't trust my ears enough, lol
