Hi professor! I wonder if the moderator variable only needs to be to connected to the endogenous variable when we are assessing the measurement model, or if it needs, as well, to be connected to the others exogenous variables (the ones whose relashionship is moderated). If it only needs to be connected to the endogenous variable, then when we should conect to other ones? I'm asking because we need to evalute the moderator effect before the assessment of the structural model. Thanks a lot for your videos!!

The moderator will be connected to the DV in the relationship that the moderator is moderating. Moderating effect (the dotted line) doesn't need to be part of the measurement model assessment.

Dear professor, thank you for your awesome explanation. But I need to ask one thing. In Smartpls3 when you run the measurement model you recommend to select "factor" rather than "path" but in smaprtpls4 you run "path", is that common to take either of it for measurement model pls algorithm?

Thanks. I am glad you liked it. Path is recommended for high r square values.
