Good video Gerry good to see someone take pride in every acre of land all too often nowadays an acre and a half would just be neglected and left to its own devices, look forward to updates on its progress 👍👍

How come you didn't powerharrow down the long way instead of lots of short bits?
@gerry64205 жыл бұрын
Glen Koopman You have to power Harrow the same way it was ploughed. it was ploughed the short way to help with drainage when I was ploughed a couple of weeks back it was quite wet and the plan is that we are allowed dampness to drain into an open drain along that bottom ditch. It worked very well

What you planting on that field Gerry. How often do you plow the fields. Is the house ready??????
@gerry64205 жыл бұрын
Neusa C planting new grass in it. For grazing. These grass field... plough every 8/10 years usually to refresh the grass. House ain’t ready yet... should be moving in in about 4 weeks hopefully
@neusac45905 жыл бұрын
@@gerry6420 okay Gerry, thanks for that explanation. I thought you plough more often then that, perhaps to plant other things. Hopefully you get to move in before winter anyway. 👍😉😉😉😉
@gerry64205 жыл бұрын
Neusa C for crops of wheat or barley its plough annually once a year. So yes it depends on the crop. I thought you u were asking about grass crops only 😊👍

Paul Storer the lime spreader is nothing to do with us. It’s a contractor. PTO shaft on the harrow is fully intact. Just no chain on it. But completely safe

Why would the" Ford " as you call it break down that John deere will let you down too Gerry !!
@senankeane5 жыл бұрын
I don't know why you are making jokes about new Hollands breaking down. Those John Deeres especially the 30 premium series are troublesome and extremely expensive to repair
@gerry64205 жыл бұрын
Senan Keane ohh lighten up. Ffs. It was a joke. I’ll sell my Deere and but 2 fords with same money.... that way when first breaks down, I’ll have a spare. 😂 (joke again) 4500hr on this Deere. Worked hard. Next thing that goes wrong with it will be the first. Some early Deere’s 30s had head gasket issues. All the other tractor fan boys home in on this as they grasp at things to shoot them Down with. Mine is a later one. So no issues 👍
@senankeane5 жыл бұрын
@@gerry6420 I'm not trying to complain about John Deeres. I know everything gives trouble. I was just pointing out how you were joking about new Hollands while John Deeres are also troublesome. I didn't mean for you to take it so serious
