Hello, my xbox one 1tb stopped working in the beginning of 2022. I haven't touched it since but I have a spare xbox one (512gb). Can I take the 1tb hard drive and put it in the working xbox? The working xbox has a newer update. The faulty xbox first started turning off right after bootup and then during bootup. Later it didn't turn on at all. (even with new power supply)

Sent mine in for repairs and I'm sure this was done when my MB was replaced. I only paid $127 for the repairs thankfully. I'm glad it works well and I can play all my disc games now. Just got Star Wars Battlefront and Rare Replay to start

I love refurbishing and cleaning older consoles. I recently picked up one of these from a flea market for $25. It was pretty dirty and looked rough. Since these are modular, they are one of the easiest to open and clean. It looks brand new now. Also, I find that using a paint brush with stiff bristles when using soap and water, makes cleaning tiny holesand inside corners very easy.

So true. This CPU has no heat spreader, so just a pea-sized amount on the die is needed, and don't spread it around as the pressure from the heatsink will do that for you. It's not supposed to be in the surface mount chips around the CPU die.

Should of done like I did with my PS3 and PS4. I upgraded them to 1 and 2TB SSDs. They run amazing with them. Also, if you are going to Retro bright, do it with 10% Peroxide. It's comes out much brighter, and even. Looks amazing tho, great job. Also... what is the spray you are using?

Lint and dust accumulation prevents the air from flowing around the cooling fins and causes the fan to work harder. Blocked air vents can cause serious performance issues by restricting airflow. Why? I had accidentally lost hours of progress more than once because the cat touches the eject or power button while walking past my Xbox One console with his tail, or yesterday I went to reach a box on top of the console and came close to the eject button and it triggered.Ahh! These are accidents, but often when I use the power button legitimately, it triggers twice - maybe I'm super slow or something but it doesn't happen with the old PS3 touch buttons. really - the power button being so sensitive is crazy considering how much gameplay you could lose or be disconnected from an online match and maybe get a ban, etc. So, it was a very good decision by Microsoft to change the buttons to physical buttons.
