Reservation needed to park at Buntzen Lake

People heading to Buntzen Lake will now need a reservation for one of the 600 parking spots. The recreation area near Port Moody is extremely popular, but that has meant an increase in traffic congestion. It's the latest recreation area in the region to institute a pass program to curb high volumes. As Jon Hernandez reports, some outdoor enthusiasts call it a band-aid solution.

This is a terrible system, I booked an all day reservation and when we showed up after an hour drive they said that people from the morning reservations still hadn't left so they wouldn't let us in.

the problem is that the 179 doesn't help because the physical space is too little. They need the 60 fters for people to occupy all the space they need for their materials.
