WOW ! I think I just fell in love with this horses beautiful classic face and expression ! He moves like one I used to ride as trail guide in the summers. He is absolutely gorgeous - Just beautiful ! Lost my 'forever favorite' 15 years ago and haven't seen one that I'd own since . . . . . until now. It's a blessing to watch him. Spirited and gentle. My mother rode sidesaddle on her Walker, carrying the Nevada state flag at the rodeos in the early fifties, crowds loved her and Lady who was solid Black and quite beautiful, also Lady was trained by my mother and would react to voice commands, producing High Licks with just a command She could do High licks for about 500 feet, and then mom would put her back into stiff gait, for most of the parade, much easier on the horse!! Protect these horses from abuse, and turn in the illlegal trainers who use soring and other cruel methods to make the horses perform better !!!!

If trained properly, the horse will keep that arched neck appearance for quite awhile before settling in to a more natural position. It does not hurt them to arch their necks this way, because if trained correctly they will do this at the lightest touch imaginable, they are incredibly intelligent animals, and will take to training with ease.

Why are you leaning back on that horse? Sit up straight. That is one beautiful horse. Why are you pulling back on it’s head? Isn’t that painful on it’s mouth?

It is the correct way to ride the horse this way. The rider shifts his weight to the back of the horse so the horse can lift up the front of his body to make his front legs lift up more and have more action. This way the back side of the horse is shifted more under the horse. Allso the rider is not pulling the on the Reyns if he would the horse with this type of bitt would show more distress and uncomfort , the reason the horse his ears are pointed back sometimes is because the horse is focused on his rider and intune with all the rider does

Icelandic riders rider similar to this rider and it’s because the reason I explained previously.
