I watched this film when it came out in theaters 31 years ago. My cousin who was like 18 snuck me in and I became obsessed. I was 11 but I absolutely loved the film and it was of course everyone's introduction to Quentin Tarantino. It is STILL one of my favorite films. I also got the biggest crush on Tim Roth as Mr. Orange. A crush that STILL lives on to this day as well. 😍 Wonderful reaction as always. I love all of your reactions.

Another cryptic connection between this film and one of Tarantino's later films is that the straight razor that Michael Madsen used to cut off the cop's ear is the SAME razor that Uma Thurman used in 'Kill Bill Vol. 2' to free her hands when she was buried in the coffin. The coffin that MICHAEL MADSEN buried her in.

Fun fact: Tim Roth, since he had to lay there so long and they had to keep putting fake blood on him, when they broke for lunch he was glued to the floor and couldn’t get up. I love that you’re on this journey now. Definitely watch True Romance and Natural Born Killers both of which Tarantino cowrote. And a little gem that not a lot of have seen, Four Rooms Starring Tim Roth. Four directors wrote and directed different parts.

Victor "Vic" Vega, also known as "Toothpick Vic" or "Mr. Blonde", is Vincent Vega's brother. He is not in Pulp Fiction, but in Reservoir Dogs, another Tarantino movie. Just as Richard Gecko is the madman of the Gecko brothers, Vic is the the madman of the Vega brothers.

Mr. Pinks ending was an homage to Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. It’s up to the viewer to decide his fate. Although, we all know what likely happened to the three characters.

If I recall right, the sounds outside after Pink leaves are 1) shots then 2) shouts, so I think Pink probably lived. I saw this when it came out - had never heard of Tarantino, had no idea about the film, but DC's City Paper gave it a good review so I took a chance at a tiny theater. Wow - blown away - so simple yet complex. Saw it a few times. And now The George Baker Selection's "Little Green Back" is on my playlist.

I hope that you also watch the movies where he collaborated with his friend, filmmaker Robert Rodriguez: "Desperado" (1995) Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, Steve Buscemi, Cheech Marin, Danny Trejo "Four Rooms" (1995) Tim Roth, Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, Bruce Willis "From Dusk Till Dawn" (1996) George Clooney, Harvey Keitel, Salma Hayek, Cheech Marin, Danny Trejo as well as his best film, which is often overlooked: "Jackie Brown" (1997) based on the book "Rum Punch" by Elmore Leonard

Jackie Brown and Reservoir Dogs are my No.1 & 2 Quentin Tarantino films. So are you only watching the core 10 (or 9 for now,) or will y’all watch the anthology, Four Rooms, (also starring Tim Roth) and ones Tarantino wrote. This film, like Clerks for Kevin Smith, hit festivals and opened doors to the connections they needed for green lights on their next projects. I was surprised she knew who Chris Penn was, because this film is where I knew him from. I do love how the diner scene sorta foreshadows that Pink is a problem and Orange is a rat/snitch (tattletale.) Checkout The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974,) which stars Walter Matthau; the film Tarantino named his company after, Jean Luc Godard’s Bande À Part (1964;) & Stanley Kubrick’s The Killing (1956.)

This movie happens the same day as the movie, “Pulp Fiction” and Michael Madsen’s character, Vick Vega, is the brother of John Travolta’s character, Vincent Vega. Most Tarantino movies are movies in the world of “Kill Bill” movies. It’s not officially a Tarantino movie, but I recommend that you guys react to “Dusk Til Dawn” and “Four Rooms”.
@Curraghmore
@Curraghmore 9 ай бұрын
If it’s the same day, it must be a coincidence that Mr. Brown looks exactly like Jimmy in Pulp Fiction, Mr. Pink looks just like the Buddy Holly waiter at Jack Rabbit Slims, Mr. White looks exactly like Winston Wolf and Mr. Orange looks exactly like Ringo?

One of the first Tarantino flicks I've ever seen! A group of violent thieves begin to suspect one of their friends is a traitor following the aftermath of a failed jewelry heist. Tarantino Said im interviews that this movie was inspired by John Carpenter's THE THING, as one of these people is not who they claim to be, as well as The Hat8Ful Eight.

Another loosely Tarantino-connected film that's pretty wild is 'Killing Zoe' from 1993. Not written or directed by Tarantino (he is an executive producer on it) but written and directed by Roger Avary, who co-wrote 'Reservoir Dogs' and 'Pulp Fiction' with Tarantino. It stars Eric Stoltz and French actress Julie Delpy (it's set in France) and it gets trippy. One specific scene involves someone getting shot more than I have seen anyone get shot in any other film.

Really excited to see all these reactions, but especially when you get to ‘Once upon a time in Hollywood’. How good are all of them in this one though… especially Michael Madsen. Absolute legend. There are 2 distinct Quentin Tarantino film universes, The Realer Than Real Universe and The Movies Movies Universe. Realer Than Real movies are dark, gritty, bloody but real feeling, like this one. Movies Movies are over the top, very bloody and sometimes have loose relation to physics or outright supernatural elements. The 2 universes are further connected in that the movies in the Movie Movies universe are movies that exist in the Realer Than Real universe.

Very cool movie as are most of his films. I'm not neccesarily a huge fan of every single one but the ones I like the most are all awesome. Can't wait for "Pulp Fiction" which has some throwbacks to this one. Mom is really going to like "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood" since I'm sure she'll get a lot of the references. I hope you guys do the other films that he didn't direct but had involvement with. Especially "True Romance" which features a scene that most people consider one of the best scenes in movie history. It's referred to as "The Scene". Plus it has a great cast. And "From Dusk Till Dawn" and "Natural Born Killers" is a real interesting one, but I think he didn't really want to have much to do with it even though it's one of his stories but didn't care for what Oliver Stone did with it. You'll have to watch it and decide for yourselves.
