We reset the maintenance tank for an Epson Stylus Pro 9700C12C890191 C12C890502 C12C890501. Waste Ink Tank Resetter for Epson Maintenance Box Stylus Pro 7700 7710 9700 9710 (AS-RESET-MB4)
A maintenance box stores waste ink that gets flushed from the printer. When a printer expects the box to be full, it will stop working until the box is replaced.
Error messages like "Epson ink pad is at the end of its service life", or 'parts inside the printer have reached the end of their service life are some examples of such issues.
This resetter is a hardware solution that takes the maintenance box out and resets the waste ink pad counter on the chip. The procedure is simple: take the maintenance box out and find the chip. Put the chip on this resetter and press down. Hold it for few seconds and the counter will be reset to zero.

Hi My 9900 is giving me a warning to install right maintenance tank, I tried the resetter but only get a soild red light, on all my tanks. do think the resetter is bad? also I have replaced the chip in the printer and the subboard b.

Thanks, I have a similar situation, I have done the reset and still the same message comes up. My waste tank works in another machine, a working tank from another Printer doesn't work with mind. I am a little confused what the problem is at this point

@@elvisndongche1533 hi there, I think I have the same issue as you. Did get yours sorted? Mine is saying insert right side maintenance tank. I tried 2 different maintenance tanks. Same story. A Epson tech guy told me, I'll have to replace the Eject Guide Unit. Please let me know if you got yours sorted and how. Thanks

plz i reset my waste tank for 4900 but it still tells me life is ended. the green light shows and goes off within 3 to 5 seconds.....and when install it...it still gives me the error....plz help me

Did you use INKCHIP? You can open a support ticket with them. They are pretty good at getting back.

(INSERT NOT replace) I have two maintenance tanks that I’ve tried on the machine. No luck. It’s still saying No maintenance tank Insert right side maintenance tank. How do I go about this?

I have the same problem for a p7000....epson wants $999 for someone to come out and "fix" it......the guy on phone said it may be some internal sensor blah blah...Im thinking maybe the hook ups for the chip on reeving wall of box opening?....did you ever get an answer?
