I really like the idea of having a nice steady trickle of videos right at the end of the year, in between Christmas and New Year. That week is always a strange one where time feels like it's in limbo and it's difficult to know what to do with oneself. Knowing I have a scutch of videos from you in the pipeline will give me something to look forward to during those strange days. And on the topic of stationery, planners, pens and all things related to annotative paraphernalia...YES! A huge resounding yes from my stationery obsessed soul. Totally here for it at any time of the year! Have a lovely December! x

I loved your Richard III video! I would to hear a deep dive into your other historical favorites.

I’m always impressed by how much planning you do for your videos Jennifer, even if it’s just writing ideas down. Which are your favorite videos to make?

This was so interesting, thank you! My year end time is extremely quiet by choice, so lots of time for reading outside the job, chores, etc.

Do you ever think about the fact you might run out of classics ton read? Just curious, as it’s something I worry about sometimes! Interesting to see your goals! ☘️

How about Penguins, “haunted castles”-Ray Russell or Penguin “Book of ghosts”? -Elizabeth Gaskell?

Pupcakes is a cute Christmas book. It is by Annie England Noblin.

I think that little horse should go in front of your white spined classics, as it will really show up there. Seasonal reading is a new idea for me. Of what’s on my shelf ‘Spinning Silver’ by Naomi Novik or ‘The Bear and the Nightingale’ by Katherine Arden would serve the theme. 😁 I don’t know that there’s any romance in them, as I shy away from that genre.

Maybe you could include authors that you're not going to be reading anymore as part of the worst books of the year. I am going to be reading Georgette Heyer's A Christmas Party (murder mystery) in December after I finish reading Anderson Cooper's Astor book. I have been given several Louise Penny novels from a co-worker so I could read those mysteries too. And along the way I'll read A History of the Vikings by Neil Price in between fiction books. My due date to read everything is whenever I finish them!

Try Lovelight Farms by B.K. Borison for a Christmas romance.

If you are interested in a Sorbian folk tale retelling set in the early 18th century in eastern Saxony, with black magic and a very wintery feel to it, I recommend "Krabat" by Otfried Preußler.
