Everything you said in the first few mins applies to me. The issue is I've not forgotten my password. I'm afraid I'll have to just create a new account. Both Of my email accounts with Yahoo(the one i'm logging into and my recovery account) are asking me to enter a verification code even after I've typed in the correct password. This has to be a flaw that yahoo probably didn't think threw.

When you do your phone verification it just loges you in, it doesn't give you a change password option.

There's forgot password? But.....after you click that then they give you the option to send you the code, after that there is no create new password option. That is the problem! I was stuck in a similar loop. Trick is to keep on entering wrong password and yahoo itself asks for verification and change password. This time, mobile or email id works and you get a chance to reset password! Also you are back into your account like this!

Is there a way to switch the NEW version of Yahoo mail back to basic? I know there was in the old version, but Yahoo forced me to "upgrade" to the new one today and there is no option to switch to basic anywhere in settings. In fact, there is almost nothing in settings, which seems to suggest that they are withholding certain features because I am blocking their ads.
