I think the best way to use tank controls for a newbie is playing on a handheld game console. I have 2 & 3 on PS Vita I got before they took them off it and it’s actually easier to play. I used to play GBA SP when I was a kid, so using that to play RE2 & 3 was way easier to play. I don’t know why, but that HD version looks like it makes the colors fade a little as well. And I’m going to be honest, I think RE2 (original) is still the best game in the series. I like the remake and I think 1-5 + 0, CV, Outbreak 1&2, and Revelations 1&2 are good as well, I don’t think any of them scream RE like 2. Honestly the devs who kept making the series more action (which was even happening before 4 came out, which is why we have DMC) is why I think RE went down hill into action games with creepy monsters. And I personally think 7 & 8 (7 is good, but I can tell it’s pushing RE out of RE’s lane, especially since 8 looks barely like a RE game) are going to push RE back down/away from what RE is like 6 did.

The alligator fights difficulty is up to the player. It is the easiest if u use the gas tank. Medium if u dont use it, and damn near impossible if u use the knife. Keep in mind he will only die or get away in last cam angle. If u cant kill him by then, he will kill u instantly.

The G. Launcher has two improvements over the Bazooka of RE1 Can hold an infinite amount of shells instead of the six that the bazooka could hold and it also has the much needed quality of life change where you can switch between shell types anytime. Im RE1 you had to empty the bazooka before you could reload it with different ammo.

Fun fact, the Re3's (aka the lickers) actually hunt primarily by sound and and scent. They cant see. That's why in the re2 remake you can just walk past them as long as you dint get to close, because they'll actually eat zombies too. This is from the books by S.D. Perry. I recommend them, theyre amazing.

15:05 - The first time I played RE2 I was already scared and tensed up, then that happened and it totally broke my brain. I wasn't sure if I wasn't sure if I was seeing things because I was so scared I wasn't paying attention and there was no sound, so I wasn't even sure if it happened. I have to say that that was the only time in my life that I've felt that particular feeling, it was a combination of fear, confusion, insanity . . . It was just a WTF moment. Has never happened again since. And guess what, I did exactly what was done in the video I turned right around back the other way.

Another thing I can think of that happens only once is the through-the-window close up camera angle once you enter the hallway right after the Licker crawls over the window. It is never triggered again after that. I wonder if it's a callback to the close-up that happened after you exited the dog hallway in the first game.

I just finished RE2 (1998) both Clair A and Leon B scenarios and oh god is RE2(98) so much better than RE2R imo.. Also something that I want to point out about the whole beginning if the game, if you choose Easy difficulty it starts you with a generous amount of handgun ammo (120) and the red boxes of ammo you pick along the way are also rather generous, Normal difficulty you get enough ammo through pickups to make it through to the RPD, Hard difficulty you get what's in the gun already (Leon's gun 18 bullets and Claire's gun gets 13 bullets), also just like in RE1 with Chris, Leon is a bit more Tankier than Claire, whereas like with Jill, Clair is a bit weaker than Leon.

I'm using a Blue Yeti, a mic widely considered to be perfectly fine. I'm pretty sure that the plastic bottle effect you are talking about stems from my inexperience with audio editing. I'm definitely looking into how to make it better for future videos.
