It's the built-in Metal performance HUD that can be activated by typing "/bin/launchctl setenv MTL_HUD_ENABLED 1" into the terminal

Just got it today, but when I start a game the mouse cursor stays on the screen, is there a way to remove it?

Should just go away when you connect a controller

Alt + Tab and return to game. It should work.
