Love these No Damage runs. Im not a speed runner, i simply cant pull off some of the speed run moves/tricks not just for this game but in general. But, these kind of runs are perfect for me because, while its not a speed run, its a really fast run + you get to shoot some zombies here and there wich is always fun. Thanks to this vid, i could beat my Leon B on 1:40:12, Rank A wich i have never done in my life! (i beated the game before but not in less than 2hs and never a Rank A). I know is an old vid but anyway, i wanted to thank you man.

Love the original. Though RE2 remake was great, I dislike the fact that the A & B scenarios are practically the same, just starting at a different place. It’s not like the original, where everything adds up, and it make sense why certain characters are at certain places at a given time. I just think the creators focused way too much on the graphics and gore, and much less on the storyline and making it flow better.

I gotta say, if I paid 60$ at release for REmake 2, OR 3.. I'd be pretty pissed. But I bought them BOTH in a discount bundle for 20$. And at that price, they are a freaking 10/10 masterpiece. I played leon A and claire B, then played 3 for a palate cleanser. After a short break I'll go back and do claire A and leon B. THEN, at some point I wanna beat em all on hardcore. They really are amazing, well made, awesome games.. they just arent worth 60$ each. They should have been released together from start, they were OBVIOUSLY developed together. If they had done that, and released em both simultaneously for 60$. or even 30$ each, then I'd say that'd be pretty good. Idk. Either way, for 20$ I think they are fantastic and I'll prolly replay them every year or two.

They are the most useless enemies in RE2, to be honest. I don't know about you all, but in 20 years I NEVER had the need to shoot at them, not even a single bullet. They're more a nuisance than a real threat. No wonder they were removed from the remake (same goes for the crows)

This is what the RE2 Remake did not have. A mostly different path for both A & B scenarios. I hope they stuck on this part of the original. I think RE2 Remake was hurried to its release.

@Red Line The only thing that really built up the scare factor or anxiety was Mr. X. Some people were complaining about him folllwing you everywhere but I honestly think that's what made the game. He's not that hard to avoid honestly but he can make things slightly more difficult if he goes to an area you really need to explore. The only bad thing about the remake was the A and B scenarios being practically the same and the extra modes having the same formula and being difficult

Syber-VHS well the scenario system was scrapped. Leons and ada will focus on police station and Claire will be at raccoon city with Sherry. Which i welcome since going through same places with 2 different characters would feel mundane. Only reason this scenario system was implemented for original RE2 was the lack of disc space/time etc.

@@sekilhos4176 i liked it for the first playthrough but became bored with it more quickly than any other re because of how identical the scenarios were. unfortunately with so many people praising it as the best re ever, they have no incentive not to half ass the remake for 3 as well. people don't seem to realize that defending a games flaws the way they do is why we will continue to get those same flaws. actually the way everyone is praising re2 they're probably thinking we could have done even less than we already did to please these people.

So, something I've been always wondering carci - at least when it comes to RE2 Classic, regardless of your speedrun or walkthrough videos - why aren't you picking up the shotgun parts in either Leon A/B scenario? You did explain that the Custom Magnum is horrible in terms of it's recovery time and only has a use in Leon B, the pistol seems to be more than a waste of time, given it's barely ever being used at all and thus, any upgrade for it might be superfluos, but when it comes to the shotgun, I noticed that there was never really an explaination given and thus I was left wondering as to why that is. :)

What's kinda confusing is Ada found Sherry first and got her locket and then Claire contacted Leon via the radio saying that she found Sherry and cleared the blockage to the chief's office. If you watch Claire A on the section where she talked to Leon via the radio, Sherry was still wearing the locket when on Leon B, Sherry already dropped it and Ada picked it up. 🤦‍♂️

I also didnt like how Mr. X just shows up regardless of anything in the remake 2, vs here when he only shows up in Scenario B.

I did a run of Leon B on the PS1 emulator (No Cheats) because I had made runs before on a regular PS console and every time I would finish, my final time would improve. So much so that I try to repeat the paths I took to optimize time and ammo conservation -- Especially with health items. Usually by the time I get to the lab, I have a boatload of Mag. Ammo on top of Shotgun Ammo and enough heals to last the final battle w/ Super Tyrant. My final time when I last played on console was 1hr. 12min. 06sec.
