I’ve been doing my first madhouse run (second playthrough in total because I like to swing for the fence), and this guide, while I’m not doing a speed run, has been helpful giving me insight on what can be bypassed to conserve ammo, since I went in blind up until I got passed Jack 1.. it was at that moment I realized this was gonna be a lot different.. Thank you!

He's running it at 720p low settings on a 2080ti (probably). This game runs at a locked 60fps at 1080p on the orginal PS4. Safe to say, it is an extremely well optimized engine.

The Evil Within actually has a mode called Akumu which is 1 hit death. So yes the game is completely able to be done without getting hit. Many people including myself have done Akumu for the first Evil Within, however... I wouldnt say it was fun to do. Just ALOT of trial and error very akin to MGS European Extreme difficulties

Yeah akumu mode will make you question why your doing the difficulty at some point. But it’s an amazing feeling to have done it. I would like to see Carci give it a shot as well. I’m sure he has a lot on his plate.

Eh, I used to think that way. I still think it's not a... Great game. I feel like the focus was wrong. The need for some kind of laboratory section led to the forced ship section, some elements are a bit easy once you understand the mechanics, lack of greater enemy variety, and a bit more makes it a game I really want to enjoy more (as opposed to when I first played it and had a bad taste in my mouth), but the flaws are way too glaring for me to ever enjoy another playthrough (unless I try it in VR one day).

Hey man during the Mia fight at the beginning of the game you can fully block mias chainsaw attack and take no damage which when she charges at you hold the block button and then Ethan will grab the bottom of the chainsaw and push Mia back and he'll take zero damage since the blade dosent touch him
