Fantastic voice acting. Annette was actually a rather complex character for such a small role. She seemed like someone that started out as a good person but was driven to the dark side by her blind ambition. The entire RE2 remake was just brilliant. I plan on buying RE4 remake for full price when it first comes out. Something I virtually NEVER do!

Another thing I love about Annette is how cunning and badass she is, getting the best of Ada of all people, and being fearless when dealing with her, knowing that Ada is the bad guy.

I still like Leon, he just comes across as a rookie cop to me that is slowly figuring things out and finding his feet. To become the Leon we know and love. There is the scene at the end of a movie where he runs off to a helicopter and Claire's face tells it all. How proud of him she is.

The character she would have voiced in Vendetta was Maria Gomez, who was eventually voiced by Cristina Vee. I love Karen's work I hope she comes back as Alexia for the Code Veronica remake!!!

To quote Ace Combat 5 where she voiced Nagase, she is really "the lady with beautiful voice". As for what her role in RE3 as mentioned in 3:04, since the only speaking woman role I know is Jill, it's probably the announcer voice in the dead factory

As much as Capcom tried to do with the character of Annette Birkin, I still can't get passed her and William's experimentations on children. For me, that makes her irredeemable, no matter how much good she does.

Same here. Another thing I've always wondered was whether Annette knew how evil her husband was. If you play the other games, especially RE 0, you realize what a douche William is. Was Annette aware of this or kept blind to it?

@@477sierra Since they worked together on the viruses, I think it's very unlikely she'd be unaware of how William was. At that point, Annette would have to be completely oblivious or purposely ignoring it.

She sounds surprisingly just like original. I wasn't too happy about inserting "conflict" into the character. Classic Annette caps the player upon laying eyes on them, out of paranoia. It's the rare writer today who is willing to make an unapologetic female villain ala Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty 1959), there has to be an excuse, it has to be someone else's fault. Zigzagging her mama-bear trope was pushing it, and it doesn't really fit with the build up. "We didn't mean for this (outbreak) to happen!" [her and hubby were about to sell the viruses to the US Military, who would do a lot more than an outbreak with it]
