Also to add, at 1:21:41 when you're talking about how Claire's supposed to be great with kids. That was my biggest rant about Revelations 2! Her character seemed so cold and distant and the fact that she was like screaming at Natalia was so upsetting to me cause Claire would never do that! It was a horrible thing to do to her character.

I'm in complete agreement, it just felt so WRONG to see Claire get so forward and interrogative toward Natalia. Considering in RE 2 I saw how good she is with kids because of Sherry. The Claire in Revelations 2 just felt like an impostor not only in design and voice, but also her personality. As Gilgamesh would say in Fate/Stay Night. The voice actress and character of Claire in Revelations 2 is a "Faker".

Listening to this podcast makes me feel so bad for Stephanie Panisello. She must've gotten so much hate during the development process. As much as I loved Alyson (I grew up with her version of Claire) I don't think her interpretation of Claire would've worked in the remake. Stephanie did such a fantastic job in the role and added so much new depth and realism to Claire. Her chemistry with everyone was superb.

Capcom actually cut out a lot of dialog and interactions between Leon and Claire from what I heard so while both are great for their time it's really less of an issue imo. However, I didn't grow up playing RE 2 OG so I understand how her fans feel and it's interesting some of the decisions they made to go "non-union."

Erin is pretty excited to be joining the RE universe, but she is new to it all. Alyson has grown with the series, and has made Claire part of her. She's been intertwined with RE since she first got the part for RE2. Both women are amazing actors and wonderful people. We are lucky to have them both.

Ali Pride Gaming I'm not criticising Erins acting ability or personality it just annoyed me a little when she didn't even bother researching such an important character she got the "job" to voice. Erin is a lovely person but couldn't give a dam about the Resident Evil universe. The two podcasts are such a contrast you have Erin talking about her role as a actress in a film and Alyson talking about her character and the Resident Evil universe.

1:15:00 Alyson Court makes a great point, I think the RE franchise is big enough for survival horror fans and also more action fans. If it has to be that way to continue the franchise. It is such a comfort to hear Alyson speaking. Just her voice takes me back to that character that I became obsessed with back in the day. I could listen to her talk ALL DAY. Having her voice as Claire in the remake would make all of my dreams come true. I would never ask anything else in life. I totally agree with what Alyson said about Claire being a real person unlike most other characters who are all soldiers and "bad asses". Claire was super relatable to the players, it was like she was one of us and not some over the top army chick. There are so many things that I love about her character but I think it was her no nonsense attitude towards assholes that I really took a shine to. She just had no time for bs.

Court is the only performer from the original we wanted back. The new Leon actor sounds younger, and therefore more appropriate to play a 21 year old rookie. And I like the new Chief Irons actor because he sounds more disarming, rather than malevolent.

I really wish Capcom would make the remake like the darkside chronicles version. Claire had so much personality there, it's ridiculously good too. Great interview guys, good job. She seems so down to earth, nice and very easy to talk to. This just made me love her even more, and you can tell she truly appreciates the fans and has lots of love for the series. My favorite part was when she voiced the "Leon" line. I would love to watch her do a playthrough of the game even if she isn't that good at it. It would be awesome to hear her voice Claire's thoughts out loud as she plays through and to hear her do some live voice acting! Fantastic! 1. Alyson entertaining the idea of re-dubbing Rev 2 and RE2make just for fans is super tantalizing! 2. I recently started playing both Outbreak games online via PC again after over 10 years since the servers were killed and the games are still amazing and super fun; Playing with a few of my friends as the File #3 unmasked HUNK like I did back in 2005-2007. Would love for Alyson to go into detail about making the Outbreak games as well as the scenarios we never saw!

I enjoyed the video I am glad y'all got to talk to Alyson Court she did a fantastic job with Claire Redfield in the video games of Resident Evil she is my favorite character in the game but I know she won't be voicing Claire Redfield in the remake of Resident Evil 2 because of Capcom being non-union but that's ok if I want to listen to Alyson Court's voice I can just play the original game I grew up with playing Resident Evil 2 Resident Evil Code Veronica X Resident Evil The Darkside Chronicles and all them games to remember her by but I am very disappointed in Capcom for how they have treated her and Shinji Mikami people that poured there heart and soul into this franchise for them to get treated like that it really does make me sad thinking about it because those are people that wanted the fans to be happy that cared about the fans that enjoyed making the fanbase so great and Capcom wants to ruin that for fans it really does suck because they want to make us unhappy they want us to be mad and it is not right it is wrong Resident Evil 4 was good Resident Evil Survivor was good Resident Evil Dead aim was good the games that Shinji Mikami made was good but the games that Capcom is making I can say this they will never be as good as Shinji Mikami was he is the King of making good Resident Evil games

I really really like code veronica, all in all in my opinion Alyson is the only Claire redfield! Nobody will ever replace her! I signed the petition already! (The saving theme at the end and "safe haven/heaven" from the remake are my favorite save room theme)
