Seeing this is a like torturous taunt to what I used to dream about a perfect RE3 movie as this is my wish put to screen, albeit as a tease. Before I was really into RE games, I was more aware of George Romero’s work and used to think why doesn’t that man just make one RE movie already that takes cues from Day of the Dead. It leaves me stunned that zombie movies these days are not as gritty and palpable anymore. They’re more flashy and loud, not in literal sense but more contextual. Old zombie movies have such thick, grim atmosphere that reels you in. But modern movies just go for shock and violence.. quite sad. Plus, you can’t dismiss the great aesthetics of the pre-digital days, they were raw and felt more alive, as opposed to more artificial look of modern movies.

Im from another dimension and can tell you this resident evil film exists. Its awesome. They made the whole trilogy like this with a few changes to the games. Resi 3 is the best one. The big change being chris barry and Rebecca stay in raccoon city with jill to help the rpd fight the zombies. The battles that take place on the streets and the siege of the rpd are my favourite parts. All practical effects, no cgi. Great writing, actors and dialogue. Theres a lot of ethos in it as well, it was made with a lot of love and theres a few laughs in it too! Oh well, im off back to my portal gate.

Exactly! I'll take that UBI and be extremely happy binging stuff like this for the rest of my life! Those that are like, you'd get bored... Hah! I've been watching the same movies and playing these games over and over every day my whole life, no... Those that argue that's no life... If it makes me happy and no ones getting hurt... That isn't going to ever change lol. I see no problem, I ain't destined to cure cancer or contribute anything significant to our species besides arguably my kids so... I'll take living a very very long time and enjoying what makes me happy 😊 I dived in to trying to be someone who could get in to those positions in and around my college days, people who were older and more experienced were continuously chosen and there was NEVER a shortage of applicants for EVERYTHING... All that's changed is it's become even more competitive since then... I keep a lose eye on the same stuff I once chased. The people who would outdo me, always had access to more money and resources than I did at their age... These days you need even more... Not everyone needs to be a driver, it's fine :) Am I a leech on the resources that sustain society, nah I'm a stay at home dad and my wife appreciates that I keep the house clean and working. What about in 20 years... Maybe... But won't I be more deserving than some of those in jail or those that should be? But... Fusion power, AI, robotics... The essentials are going to be produced easier and easier in the coming decades. If someone doesn't consume beyond that, their existance isn't any kind of detriment to anyone or anything so if you can find happiness in that space and it can last indeffinetly, you're in heaven IMO :)

Worth every second waiting for this masterpiece and it was a blast for sure! I always found Day of the Dead the most visceral of Romero's trilogy and your take of Resident Evil 3 as an 80's horror movie from George is amazing. I hope we get either Resident Evil Code Veronica or Resident Evil 4 set in 2005, I'd love to see Code Veronica replacing Land of The Dead and then we set for the "reboot" with Resident Evil 4 replacing 2007's Diary of the Dead and finally Resident Evil 5 inspired by Survival of the Dead.

Fantastic work mate. There really is nothing stopping Hollywood producers from doing a movie like this. While some may not like Quinton Tarantino, he still films similarly to how things were shot back in the 70's and 80's. What an absolute nightmare of a scenario. No amount of therapy could help Jill overcome that journey. The pictures of the hospital feel extremely dreadful. Something about the bright white setting with a horde of blood covered zombies starring at you from across the room just makes my stomach churn. Great imagery. I've never really seen it anywhere else.
