I used to speedrun this game my best time was around 48 mins on pc which is easier than ps1 but Ive always struggled with Nemmy when i actually wanted to face him fair and square and not to be running past him in order to get some extra time i mean hes no joke it requires some time to master him not to mention the first encouter with him 20 years ago when you had no idea what to expect from him you died in a few sec it was a nightmare lol

In the first and second encounter, Jill used 54 bullets using the M92F Custom. In the third one, it was 39 (using the STI Eagle 6.0). In the 4th encounter, one explosive, 5 normal bullets and 36 powered bullets using the M92F Custom (Nemesis was really strong in this path!!!). In the 4th alternative encounter, it was necessary only one explosive barrel + 22 powered bullets using the M92F Custom again (it's easier to knock him off). 34 shots in the 5th encouter using the M92F Custom with powered bullets. At the train, 6th encounter, it was necessary 31 shots using the STI Eagle 6.0 with regular bullets. At the clock tower, 7th encounter, Jills used one explosive and 26 shots using M92F Custom with powered bullets. In the 8th encounter, when Jill is poisoned, it was used 34 powered bullets from M92F Custom. Carlos got 42 shots with handgun in Nemesis in the 9th encounter. Jill returns and knock Nemesis off with 25 powered bullets in their 10th encounter. In the 11th, Jill used 11 freeze rounds with Grenade Launcher. Dodge can only be triggered if you press aim+action/shoot at the same time the hit is about to land. One trick to make it easier is to turn your back to the attack as you will have more animation time to trigger it.

First of all, I applaud you for finding ways to beat Nemesis using mostly a handgun under hard difficulty, more so even with Carlos. I do have to note that two fights could have been easily won, the first by hiding in the kitchen and thus collecting the item; the second by using the cord to electrocute Nemesis. I take it as you were putting up a challenge as to take on Nemesis fully by yourself and using other things. Thank you for including the Grave digger fight, something I loathe to this very day, and also for taking our Nikolai, which I figured back when I was a kid by using that key to get the Rocket Launcher... Gosh I miss those days where you truly needed to turn every nook and cranny rather than find everything online ... it truly felt like an achievement, especially for a non-native who played the game in English. I also think you could have easily blown the final Nemesis form with the RL, but then again you took on a challenge that is saluted. I rarely watch long videos, especially without speeding up x2 ... this was an exception. So thank you! Looking forward to more videos of other RE titles! 🙌

In the last encounter with Carlos in the main hall you just have to go to the corner where the columns are, you walk there until Nemesis enters a bug, he will automatically move towards the door and the only thing you have to do is keep your distance and shoot

Important note: to fight nemesis in clock tower without his rocket launcher . When mikhail death cutscene you will forced to choose either jump from cable car window or use emergency brake so choose the brake after that carlos come to aid jill and destroy nemesis launcher that make the battle slightly easy then use you freeze rounds to knock this beast down.

I love this video. I suck at dodging. I probably wouldnt play the game if this didn’t exist. i couldnt beat um even after reading all the guides. I have a modded gamecube and i like experimenting with cheats. I use infinite ammo. And i have a magnum and grenade launcher that shoots acid rounds and they both never run out of ammo. Pretty sick man. Still though this game is hard man. The controls really have you befuddled at first. Hard to get use to. Playing on the GameCube helps because it has the octagon surrounding the control stick so you can lock into the corners. I like alot.

Hey on third encounter i found a even better way to “cheese” the nemesis. if you choose to hide in the kitchen. And throw the light it will knock the nemisis down. Run to him take the med pack and !THEN DONT RUN INTO THE ALLEY! Quickly run out the entrance of the diner where you came in (carlos will follow). Youll get the cut scene with Carlos but it wont be in the alley. It will be on the street infront of the diner. After the cutscene wait for him to come out. And then you will have a open space to run around him and you will go back in the diner. Once in the diner quickly head towards the kitchen and then enter the door at the end of the kitchen to enter the alley. This will make it to where the nemesis glitches out you wont have to encounter him for a while. He should be stuck in the diner, and he wont come out and chase you in the alley. You can collect the red gem and all that other shiz in peace other than a couple zombo’s. Im playing on GameCube btw.

Fun fact: "Nemesis" is actually the game title, not the tyrant type's name, the real name of this kind of tyrant its "Pursuer" but all fans named Nemesis because of the title of the game and stayed like that, and im not a single bit mad about it.

One of the game files encountering scattered says one guy finds "nemesis" so refers clearly to the tyrant monster.

In RE: Gun Survivor there's a file with a picture of him that refers to him as Nemesis as well. It also says that only 2 of then were made, as the Nemesis parasite destroyed all tyrants it was injected into except for those two. The other Nemesis removed his restraints, killed the Umbrella team and tried to escape, but was hunted down and destroyed. Nemesis project was canceled after that as regular tyrants were good (and stable) enough. The only reason they deployed the remaining Nemesis there to hunt STARS is because they already beaten ghe previous Tyrant and they considered it a calculated risk.

Fun fact: In the cabin before the final gravedigger fight you can find a file that says someone had encountered the "Nemesis" IIRC.

Pursuer is the name in code and one of them on the box. But the bioweapon is canonically named Nemesis even in this game, just like the parasite the tyrant is infected with allowing umbrella to control it better. It was probably coded as pursuer in case they reused the code. Just like how Jack baker likely uses a 'stalker' script which is similar to those given later in the game like Margarette, and molded jack in dlc, as well as to Mr. X in 2make, Nemesis in 3make, Mendez in 4make (lamest stalker ever, I love the remake to 4 but giving mendez a stalker segment that involves running in a straight line and avoiding a couple enemies for 12 seconds is mid af), and lady dimitrescu.

One of my Fav games ever! Did you know you can run through the whole game and actually only have to face Nemesis 2 or 3 times. The rest of the time you can run away from him and eventually he stops chasing you.
