Bro, I had no idea it was so insanely difficult on hardcore. I thought the fight would be exactly the same as standard. But he pulls you right into trees where you can't even dodge at all. Or jumps on top of you with no way to avoid.

I've dealt with that and he sometimes does a back to back dive out of the water. I can get past the second rotation around the boat but then he goes completely apesh*t.

Wait for it to come towards you and shoot into the mouth.

I have the same thing happen. It's so frigging annoying. Then I just had something new happen where he did the ram prep thing like twice as close as he normally would. So you have like 1 second to throw a harpoon at his mouth and of course it doesn't register. That mouth jam thing does so much DMG to you on ahrdcore it might as well not even be a thing.

I just defeated it and they must have patched in another diving jump next to the high one that clears you. This one makes you take damage if you’re a millisecond late with moving out the way and it’s pretty hard to avoid. It’s a random leap towards you and you’ll still get hit even when harpooning its face.

Had no idea how much of a pisstake this level would be on the new playthrough, the level being this difficult has put me off even wanting to touch the game again cos Leon is slow as shit when throwing the harpoons and he takes that long it cuts off your ability to steer the boat

My problem is the hits don't always register when his jumping towards you . Hit him directly in the mouth and the boats gets damaged . And then other times it don't.

i finally beat this bastard on professional, watching your video i decided to stop aiming and focus on moving my boat (increase dmy camera sensitivity and let go of aiming when i knew he was going to jump at me because my aiming sensitivity was low) when he would do his jump attack. this left me about one time to be cheaply hit by a jump attack and about 2 times to run into tree trunks. and then when i knew he was swimming at me i just waited to make sure he wouldnt chomp on me. this fight is more about dodging then it is attacking

@@ChakLok I think time is added when you load auto save so load a type writer save instead run back to the merchant one before you put gas in I got 17 minutes for the chapter

Every time you die, you need to exit and load again. RE2 Remake was exactly the same.

I've died to this like ten times. Wasn't an issue on Normal, but on hardcore I just keep dying. It doesn't seem to matter how much damage I do to it, it just won't die.

It’s not as easy to move to the side and get out his way , half the time that doesn’t work. When he’s jumps a bit to the left, I move to the stick to the right and he might miss . Same when jumps a bit to the right , i move the stick to the left and he might miss . Then there’s the jump where he comes directly at you, there’s nothing you can do to avoid him . I get the harpoon and the steering down i think but it’s the jumps at the boat that’s messing me up . Yesterday on Professional i tried about 20 times and he keeps hitting the boat even when i think i got out the way . I think this is a miss by Capcom to have such a tough boss at this early stage . This is gonna make some people frustrated and don’t finished the game . I have no issues with the later bosses which should be where you have a tougher fight ..In the original at least you could replenish your health and if you fall out the boat you could swim back to in . In the remake you are done once you fall out .

If you get the technique down, this is one of the most consistent Bosses. Try to change the side on which you are dodging as little as possible.

Keep to the right unless you are 100% sure you are gonna get hit by a log. As long as you stick right, you are OK.

That's the way to do it, the auto-recorded extra time will just mess with your results.

Did it on my S+ Pro run, twice (died to some other shite). It's really all about keeping movement input going. Stick to the right side and keep spamming harpoons.

When he charges you have to hit him in the mouth but you will get slammed. If you dodge it you'll miss the shot. This worked in Standard, in Hardcore the window is extremely tight it's virtually impossible.
