It doesn't change the timeline or what happens next whatsoever (unless capcom decided to rewrite every RE game & movies that comes out after RE4) Their next on-screen encounter after RE4 is in Damnation Movie where it is confirmed by Shotaro (the story writer) that they spent romantic night somewhere during RE5. Gosh Ada is so beautiful. But I miss in the end when Ashley asks who was that and Leon says “a part of me I can’t get rid of.” They made Leon a lot harder and distrusting in this version and Ada showed a giving (she didn’t even offer him a ride in the original) and vigilante (she turned the plane around) side meaning they are both changing each other in ways.

Wrong, Ada Wong never intended to give Albert Wesker the Master Plaga, "Separate Ways" from original RE4 make it very clear. Ada was _pretending_ to work for Wesker since the beginning, and always was going to give the Master Plaga to the Organization she was working for. Capcom either failed to do its own homework (not the first time) or deliberately decided to make Ada more heroic while making Wesker dumb. Either way, I hated this change.

@PipeRhymes I understand you. However I think it makes total sense, because we can't keep comparing RE4 from 2006 to this Remake. Different years - maybe generations. We should give a chance to some change, like this one. I love Ada in RE4 (2006), but I love her even more in this Remake, because I believe they followed the same rules when they did that Remake for RE2 and now just enhanced her a little bit more, as I said mysterious and fearless. Although she's got nothing to do with that version we love so much, yet her delivery has been perfect, giving us an idea of a total diferent perspective of how her DLC shall be.

One thing to say, RE studios nowadays doesn't do "Union Voice actors" anymore.. Look at Chris! David Vaughn has potential in Re-7. Yet in Re 8, they change & cast Jeff Shine who was Carlos in Re 3 Remake.!? Capcom Re studios were lazy to bring back majority of Re-7 voice casts except for Ethan's, Mia's & Eveline. Most of the voice casts of Re-8 were from Re Remake 3.. For God sake, they probably just asked the Recent voice casts from latest project to involve in Re-8.. Dang, how I missed Union VA's.. its their charm & charisma that shape most of Re- Protagonist character direction. Paul Mercier, Roger Craig, Allyson Court, Sally Cahil, Patricia Ja Lee & Mathew Mercer..

There's like no chemistry with them anymore. In the last game there were more scenes with Leon & Ada that painted a picture that they had a more intimate relationship prior to after Re2. Leon in this game mentioning not seeing Ada in 6yrs this doesn't really make sense cause he wasn't surprised at all that she was still alive.

No, that's what people are assuming, they didn't ask Jolene Anderson to come back because now she's in the union and Capcom doesn't want to pay professional VAs so they just cast anyone non union to cut costs. The problem isn't even that she's asian, it's that she has no VA experience and her delivery is flat, and they didn't even bother to hold auditions for actual asian VAs with talent, just took Lily Gao bc they didn't want to put in the effort to try. I cant speak for everyone, but I'm asian and I've never cared that Ada's VA have been voiced by white women, especially when Jill Valentine and and Rebecca Chambers VA's were both asian, Capcom literally just did casting on whoever's voice fits their character.

Anyway, if they went back to hiring union actors then ok, but the point i was making is Capcom is they are lazy & cheap and are not willing to pay high quality talent. If they were always so willing to hire union actors then why not bring Matt Mercer for Leon, or Roger Craig Smith back for Chris, heck they didn't even bother to bring back Chris' VA from RE7 and reused Jeff Schine instead in RE8. What's stopping them from hiring Actual Asian VA with experience, why get Lily who has no VA experience and only had like a few minutes in a flop movie? People think they recasted Chun Li bc Laura Bailey isn't asian, I think it's because they dont want to pay Laura what she's now worth as a BAFTA and The Game Awards winner for her performance in the TLOU 2. &why just Chun Li when Ryu in Street Fighter still has white VA?

Being a hardcore Resident Evil series fan especially RE4, I would like to say something about Ada in the Remake. I heard many bad comments about her that she's the worst in the Remake and all but guys trust me. She has got justice but of course her VA is not that good. She isn't able to express emotions in her voice acting. But as for her facial expressions, it can be easily interpreted that she is thristy for Leon. But Leon doesn't seem interested but deep down he IS interested. And at last, he didn't wanna say her goodbye but there was no other way. Ada is 100% more emotional and sentimental towards Leon but they both have less emotional intelligence and are unable to express freely. She really is more emotional and interested towards Leon, it can be easily seen keeping her voice aside.

Theres more bad things in this remake besides the horrible dialogue even though it somehow magically got a 10 on IGN and other shill websites. This is a overrated game. It's a great 8 out of 10 game not a 10 out of 10 flawless masterpiece. Even the original RE4 had minor flaws and this doesnt surpass the original in any way other than graphics and the parry system. Some areas have been cut, laser sight is only on the pistol, woke themes censoring ada and Ashley meanwhile making Leon and Krauser sus, horrible dialogue, destructive environment yet for some reason you cannot kick down or shoot through a door like in the original, repurposing Salazar boss fight and his statue segment among many other flaws. It's still a great game. Its basically RE2make acting like RE4

If you actually pay attention to Ada’s voice, the actor IS shifting moods in voice tone @6:29 she goes from serious to charming. Fans are just upset without realizing they wanted the 1 to 1 charm Cahill and Anderson brought in those iterations. There’s nothing different about how Lily Gao delivers her lines in WTRC and RE4R. It is the *writing* and *direction* that has Lily acting more cut and dry as Ada instead of the typical flirtatious tone. Stop blaming the actress like she wrote, directed, and produced the game. Blame Capcom for the direction in the character because this iteration and style of Ada has clearly been in the making since Welcome to Raccoon City.

Ada's new voice and dialogue are atrocious. Fans MUST petition to have her re-cast and her lines re-recorded ASAP (and preferably re-written as well). She looks good and I like the twist in the new post-credits scene but they ruined her character for the duration of the main campaign and that is just unacceptable.

Like Capcom would give a damn to the petition. Recast, rewrite, re-record, that's a whole lot you asked there. It's not a bug or a "rain that's too thick" that could be fix with a simple tweak patch. What you ask are not realistic. They have other projects to finish. I understand the frustration, but what you're asking are not realistic.

@@JT-nd6qp like i said, i understand the frustration, i didn't say ada's VA doing a Marvelous Job, her line was flat for many part and just didn't have that much emotion. But again, this isn't a one person job, even tho they said they could do it in 10 minutes. Capcom is a Corporate Gaming Company, everything must be approved by the higher up, its not an idealistic place where everything can be done in 10 minutes. Recast takes time, you have to negotiate a contract, plan the recording schedule, editing audio, animate the characters, so on and so forth. It's not that simple pal, corporate bureaucracy is a real thing.

If you ever involved in the line of work with many teams, higher up, everything never be so simple as "i could do it in 10 minutes" Why do you think the ballistics line didn't appear?? The "women" line being cut??? If they use something "controversial" be it a coincidence, the internet or some group of people would Flame Capcom. That's why it can't be done in 10 mie, everything must be done in consideration.
