Same, I returned my PSVR2 after a couple of days but im starting to miss the feeling. I think Im gonna get one, mainly for GT7 but I really want to play the exclusives like RE8 and RE4 in VR. I really hope we get more high budget games for the PSVR2, as much as I love the indie games we get on Quest nothing really beats the impressiveness of high budget titles. But how many do we even have for PSVR2? Only one that comes ot mind is the Horizon Call of the Mountain. Re4 and Re8 exists but they werent built from the ground up for VR like the horizon game was

@@dratelectasis the gameplay is just super janky and less fun for a vr title then re 4 with the kicking and stabbing, and re8 is less linear and more like a open ended game so the puzzles are more confusing and leads to headaches especially in a vr title where you really feel that and can’t even look stuff up on KZbin while in vr, also the graphics are kinda terrible and it’s way more blurry then re 4, it’s also super hard to read stuff without getting a literal migraine.

The HDR/high brightness has a big negative impact on motion clarity unfortunately, since you have to have the VR2 brightness dial set to 75-100%. Can't have a nice bright HDR image with blur-free VR motion clarity. But everybody has their preference. If Capcom allowed for SDR, we could drop the VR2 brightness slider down much lower and get greater motion clarity, but with a dimmer picture. Double edged sword at the end of the day. Anyways, RE4: VR mode is fantastic, especially during the Village and Castle sections, but I've become so accustomed to the incredible blur-free(or nearly blur free) motion clarity of Quest 3 that going back to PSVR2 is just jarring. I wish RE4: VR mode on PSVR2 had an SDR mode, the ability to disable tunnel vision when crouching, 3rd person stealth/knife take downs and most importantly 90fps when the PS5 Pro arrives by the end of the ear, which will eliminate that nasty 60fps motion duplication reprojection effect, and make the motion in general just smoother and more life like. Also, the Jet Ski tilt based motion stearing during the final 10 minutes of the game were just awful. However, controller the Village boat when roaming around the lake and caverns during the village section was an absolute blast!

If you mean the village or the basement, I hate horror games and I was stressed but the game was so fun that I wouldn’t stop, so I made it. For the village, I recommend running to the house, grabbing the shotgun and running around until the bells ring(about 5 minutes) and only shooting the villagers in your way. For the basement, shoot the monster in the head until he falls. I was scared at first but knowing what to do and where the enemies are at helps a lot

Village, based on what I've played beats out RE4: VR mode, when it comes to the level of interaction, amazing cast of villains, not knowing where the plot is heading and because it's more of a survival-horror traditional RE experience. AND, When the enemies get up close and in your face in Village the 3D effect seems to be maxed. In RE4: VR mode, it feels like Capcom dialed it back just a bit for whatever reason. I've also beaten RE4: VR mode, and I'd say it's a solid 8 to an 8.5/10 VR experience. I think it's incredibly strong during the Village and Castle sections, but loses a bit of steam once you make it to the Island. The motion based jet ski controls during the final 10 minutes of the game were also pretty awful, the knife take downs looked janky, it suffers from poor 60fps motion duplication reprojection, the game forces HDR which hurts the motion clarity(Can't have high brightness and great motion clarity on PSVR2) and doesn't support SDR, I wish they would of disabled tunnel vision when crouching(Like in village) and throwing your knife is not as accurate as it is in village either. A lot of the larger out doors areas drop in resolution too(Since VR IS a power hog), it's also missing those incredible storm effects like the ground fog and extra hail from the flat screen version too.

@@NeonPizzas 2 paragraphs and all i see is yap yap yap played both re8 and re4, re8 has better vr interactions and overall setting and backdrops. i love the gothic feel of re8. re4 beats it every other way, better progression, better knife, better characters, better dialogue, better protagonist, better weapons, better level design, more content, better boss fights, better plot.

I wish that were the case too, but they’d have to do the cutscenes 100% from scratch. In RE8 almost all the cutscenes are first person so it’s easier to put the VR POV where the head is and program the game a little around that, whereas in RE4 most of the cutscenes are third person, cutting to and from a bunch of different angles that would honestly be pretty jarring. I wish the cutscenes were in first person too, but the workload required for that would probably have made the VR version cost money with how much they would have to do.

Quick tip: If you grab at the top of your head you can grab the flashlight and use it, you can even change its rotation, don’t know why this wasn’t a tutorial

I jjst finished this game on PSVR2. It was a blast! Sooooo friggin fun. Capcom's VR ports are getting sooooo damn good with the RE engine. This game looks better than Village VR. And runs smoother. But i have to say Village VR was scarier than RE4 Remale VR by a mile.

How do you get over the motion sickness from the smooth locomotion? I always use teleport in games because I get headaches and nausea otherwise. Years back I tried the game 'the climb' and got extremely motion sick, but I climb in real life all the time lol.

Take regular breaks every 20 minutes, it will get less and less nauseating. You could have bad luck and be one of the 10% of people that gets sick no matter what you do

@@snoozelp1 Yeah it’s a much better experience. I played for over 2 hours straight and only quit because my feet started to hurt. I turned on the white dot setting, easy reloads, and kept the action sequences 3rd person and never once got motion sickness. Hopefully Phasmophobia releases soon

Even on PC reprojecting from 60 to 120 is a must for some of these games and mods. I wish they would do 144hz so we could reproject from 72. 60 is very doable, but you do get occasional wobbling in the image that would be seen less at 72.

Just so you know the reprojection isn't great on psvr2,sonys implementation isn't that good but a few devs said they are working on updates for the foveated rendering and reprojection so it should get better.

For anyone wondering, the VR gameplay Demo ends at 7:25, they don't give you the battle before the bell. Frankly not enough in order to judge the VR mode.

I found in ps2 version Goin into shotgun house will trigger the chainsaw guy so I learned to fight 1st then go I'm the buildings. Not sure if it's ant different on other versions or not.
