[Resident Evil 4 Remake] Mutated Krauser, Knife Only, Professional, No Damage

If you're wondering why I'm not knifing him too much, it's because if you knife after you kick him, he starts turning around as you're knifing and it can then make the "already difficult to get" parries even worse or he will start attacking in a weird angle. Also avoid knifing his arm by accident or he can raise his shield which then allows him to do one specific right arm attack which can't be parried/crouched under. On the top floor, he will also raise his shield after an attack which forces you to switch floors again to reset his AI. I really don't understand why the developers added this shield mode at close range. By doing this method, you can fight him "normally" and the fight will be all about parrying/dodging his moves. Stay at a good position and the parry will work relatively well.

What annoys me just as much as the shield mode at close range is when he does that thrust attack with his blade, because it can come out of nowhere and the detection on deflecting that move at close range is wonky. The shield bash also comes out of nowhere, without warning, making it impossible to get away from it due to Leon's sluggish movement. It seems to be nearly impossible to avoid if he does it after a grab when you're on the upper level. Also, I think when you're on the bottom level and Krauser engages his shield, it means he's close to being stunned through damage. That's something I noticed consistently.

@@idi-jq6cj the thrust attack can be a little hard to react indeed when he does in strange situations but I do like that we can dodge with movement unlike most of the other moves.

I'm trying to fight him knife only but he keeps hitting me with that attack, and I'm not hitting his arm. I don't know how you avoided triggering it because it happens like constantly when I try to fight him.

@@somedude1561 he raises his shield if you damage him too much without resetting his stagger meter as well which is why I'm very passive in the video.

bro, im not exagerating but you are by FAR the most naturally talented re4 remake player ive ever seen. the display of skill in this video is something from another world, specially since now this boss fight is way more dinamic dark souls oriented. im actually speechles.. awesome work, keep up boss!

Man this Krauser has the hardest attacks to parry in the entire game it feels like it’s frame perfection like with other attacks with axes pitchfork’s scythes etc it feels like there is a lot bigger of a window.

Unfortunately it's because it is. There's an icon above the knife icon and it pops up during an enemy's attack animation and it is a VERY small window for this fight specifically

amazing as always! i have a quick question, how do you do perfect parry on professional though? I know the parry window is limited but how do you get to read the timing to press the button? I always end up avoiding parry since i failed for countless times

It shows up in the HUD, it's best if you record a clip and watch the video to understand when exactly it shows up.

That "shield bash" attack can be ducked under if you're not facing him directly. I've seen a video where they just stay crouched on a corner and Krauser misses most of his attacks, and they just knife him between attacks with a few parries in between.

Nice! A little question regarding the future video: did you use any handguns other than Red9 and the SG?

I used primarily the Red9, but in some minor moments I used the Punisher (shield enemies/regenerators) and the Matilda (just for Saddler really, since it's the best pistol there).

Ducking is inconsistent, unfortunately, too much phantom range on the grab.

If you think this is hard, watch the fight in 0,25 and look how small is the window to parry him If you are in PC you can watch frame by frame with button , and .

Yes, the real and poetic way to face Krauser as it should be, funny enough I knifed him in my first playthrough using my og RE4 experience in mind lol, using up 3 boot knifes and my exclusive upgraded combat knife. Was totally worth it except the part where I actually had to finish him using a pistol (Sentinel Nine) shot lmao ;-;
