The last time this game was ran at a GDQ event was at AGDQ 2011, by Carci himself. 10 years later, he joins in for commentary, as DECosmic and AvuKamu absolutely crush the run. It has come a long way, and I think these two were the perfect people to show it off. They have the skills, the composure, and the sense of humor to make this a very enjoyable watch. Unpopular opinion but this is my favorite Resident Evil and One of the first ones i played (I played a bit of 4, i played a bit of 2 and i played the rail shooter beforehand, RE5 is the first one I owned and the first one I completed. (I also got revelations for the DS, not a bad game) I still wish they would make a game based on the Mercenaries mode. You don't need an amazing story but have something. i just like being able to have Barry, Rebecca, Josh and Jill join in on the fun. (Of course, Leon and Clair would have to be playable as well, along with Ada and Hunk. I guess at this point you could also have Sherri and and aged up Ashley) I remember doing Mercenaries and my friend and I were doing Ship (Where you get like 3 or 4 chainsaw guys, it was teh only one we were having trouble with. (Narrow corridors) I picked up a rocket and he lured the chainsaw guys into a corner, I just had to shoot a wall and we would have taken out all 3. As he is running away as he is expecting to hear a rocket explosion and the nightmares will be dealt with, he sees a rocket fly past his head. Me: Malcolm, I missed Him: *Sets down controller and walks way.* The ground the wall, ANYTHING other than directly forward. Same partner but in the excluded Chapter (The Chris and ill Mission) we ended up going telepathic. We are playing normal and I hear the Piano playing. I tell Malcolm to stop talking and listen. He does and we look at each other. We then head back to the Piano room leapfrogging but no words. Our butts were clenched and then I kicked down the door... NOTHING. I was angry, Music picking up, getting louder as you get closer, and no climax. I was expecting some boss battle, instead we got teased.

Non RPG way is to hide until Wesker is searching and then you can magnum him (2 shots?) and he'll stagger into a QTE prompt which if you mess up he straight up kills you iirc.

If you beat Wesker within 7 minutes then you can pick up a unique 'Heart of Africa' gem during the solo Jill fight. I think it's the single most valuable gem in the game.
