Zerus Zephuros I think the kidnapped people are more like "cousins" in Evie's family whereas Zoe, Lucas, etc. are immediate family. Which i believe would explain why everyone except for the main characters are Molden. I think the reason why Zoe wasn't killed was because the Bakers have a little bit of a resistance to the "gift" that allows them to fight for a few seconds. Time that gives people like Zoe and Ethan opportunities to escape.(example being Margurite fending evie off long enough to hand Zoe a key and tell her to run/Mia switching in and out of psycho mode in the beginning of the main story) And even though Evie does have the power to kill someone on the spot. She never really does that until the cure Zoe ending. Which tells me she either really doesn't want to hurt anybody or she's just really fucking sadistic and wants to see a Baker kill Zoe instead. Idk tho. This storyline is filled with plot holes.

Would meant they could have been more slow burn with it too, have their behaviors getting increasing erratic and wrong rather than them being completely controlled near instantly (which probably how they needed to do it for a short dlc, even though the main game implies is was not that quick and they even went and got scans at some point).

I feel so bad for Zoe. The amount of mental and emotional trauma you would experience from something like that is unfathomable. I really wish the game would have incorporated a good ending for Zoe if you choose to save her instead of Mia, she deserves to experience a happy life again after having to witness that. It’s really unfortunate you had to use one of the cures in order to kill Jack. The ultimate ending would be to save both Mia and Zoe.

What in the world even happens after the ending? Pretty sure zoe was given the "gift" in both endings, but this one it seems like Evie really forces Zoe to join the family hence the table picture. Unlike in the true ending where she Evie just let's her be the outsider while making the other Bakers have their on/off switch of the infection.
