His main power was regeneration. Even when they gave him the cure, the mold didn't lose its effects and transformed him into what Joe saw. Though, I think he was also made weaker than his previous form which may to some extent explain how Joe was able to take him down. When Joe destroyed his head, he was able to regenerate but did not have enough strength like before and the serum took over, finally ending his life.

Joe is forming visible shockwaves with his punches. Literally every punch he throws is hitting Jack at Mach 3. To put it into perspective, if you were to be hit by a double barrel point blank, it would basically be the same thing. So Ethan with shotgun == One Joe punch. This was such a good, chaotically fun DLC. I honestly had such a great time playing. I feel like the main game was great for playing as an unskilled character and getting to firsthand learn and experience the horror. But End of Zoe was just fun to run through and wildly punch things. I really loved the ending, how Zoe got the call from Ethan and it perfectly ended it all. Yet another reason not to choose to cure Zoe in the main game lmfao
