Coming here immediately after watching the main game, it's hilarious to see the way the molded are approached. Ethan carefully plants remote bombs and retreats or draws them in close for shotgun blast. Mia shoots 60 bullets in their faces. Chris just punches their heads off after a pistol shot.

I realized why this is called "Not a Hero." Chris fails his mission pretty hard. He doesn't save anyone from the advanced team, nor is he able to capture Lucas as he was supposed to. It dawned on me, Chris fails a lot. He failed to save most of Bravo Team in the mansion incident, he lost Jill at the Spencer estate, failed to help Alpha team in Africa, got his squad killed in 6, and ultimately watched Piers die too. For being the team's favorite protagonist Capcom really runs him through the ringer.

For those who come to the comments to question constantly about why he is working for Umbrella. It appears as if this Umbrella is a PMC organization using the name Umbrella, made up of, I'm assuming, surviving, former employees who wish to right the wrongs that the bioweapons company made in the years prior. Chris appears to still be a member of the BSAA and seems to be willing to work with the PMC company to stop any further creations of Bioweapons.

I can't find the comment which annoys me to this day, but me and a gentleman had this conversation of how neat it would be if Chris and HUNK worked together for Blue Umbrella. The relationship would be extremely rocky because Chris would not trust HUNK anymore than Umbrella, but the two still respect each other for being excellent soldiers who complete their missions.

I’m midway through the DLC and I like how stupidly overpowered Chris is and it makes you truly appreciate the characters so much more. When you play RE7 Ethan feels weak as hell by design for the anxiety and fear factor. Switching to a guy who’s been doing this for his entire life Chris feels like a monster, one tapping the molded… taking on groups of enemies, kicking rail carts with ease…. Like jesus.

I'm really glad that they changed Chris's face for RE8. No disrespect to this face model, but he just didn't feel like Chris at all. Going through this game, it just felt like he was someone who only had the name "Chris Redfield" but was just a whole different person entirely. Seeing his redesigned look in RE8 changes that. Now every time I see him, I'm 100% convinced that it's Chris. He just has that distinct look that feels right. It really sold his appearance in RE8.

Rewatching this after Village made me seriously really appreciate just how strong Ethan's willpower was bc, well... he was a full Molded same as Lucas here but never once mutated even after taking the kind of damage that 'should' have induced a mutation. I mean, the guy had his heart ripped out and yet, the most that happened was that it regenerated which, don't get me wrong, is amazing in itself but still... that's the extent of his powers. Kinda crazy really. Okay, well regeneration and the ability to link with the shared consciousness of the Mold.

Lucas Baker might be the most dangerous RE Antagonist ever. He killed Hoffman, Clancy and Three of Chris's teammates and almost killed Ethan and Chris without him having some form of Enhanced Bio-Weapon.

Chris is a fucking machine in this game. Not a steroid abuser like in the previous ones, not a lazy slob like in Village, just a boulder punching legend. You just feel like a force to be reckoned with while playing him here in Not A Hero he looked so awesome, his voice actor was amazing and badass he fit the role very well and his personality was so cool. Best DLC ever. People who complained about this and forced Capcom to redesign him yet again should be ashamed because this is his perfect form in Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. 7 is by far my favorite one in the franchise because it reminisced P.T. aka Silent Hill a lot only full length game now just with a different setting and storyline. So scary and spooky. Hunting down Lucas is the best aftermath.

2:49 ok seeing this gave me an idea of who exactly mia was working for before the crash. do you think she could have been working for the connections? umbrella was redeemed in 2007, but mia has been working with whoever since at least 2014, and considering this company's knowledge of bioweapons (evie is likely one of their creations), and the fact that the connections is a criminal organization that creates, sells, and distributes bioweapons, its likely she worked there.

It's a mistake on Capcom's part. They basically confess it on an interview video. They are doing this "Photo-scan" tehcnique for their characters but they are having difficulties in finding a person that looked like previous version of Chris.

Well, not really. His face has was broader and more square in R.E. 6 and his muscles were... He looked like a gorilla. Compared to him now, he has a smoother, more narrow face, and just looks he hits the gym about two times a week instead of being on steroids like he did in Edonia.

Basically, SHN is right. They changed his model to get more photorealistic Chris. As for his muscles... Well, as you can see, he could still punch the big mold till it flipped. I doubt Leon would be able to do that. I mean, Leon is trained of course, but we all know that he isn't as strong as Chris. 🤔

Looking at the age of Chris in this, he looks young. The timelines by design seems to look different each time. RE8 Chris looks more like RE5-6 Chris. Where RE7 Chris kinda reminds me of REmake Chris in a way.
