@@achmahnsch the model is ethans but its not entirely clear if its just rose having another vision/a symbolic choice because he will always be watching over her in mold limbo. i think it pretty much confirmed its not literally him which makes me really sad tbh idk why the writers will endlessly justify keeping iconic characters around forever in this franchise and then turn around and contrive a reason to kill off their newest and coolest one (ethan) when they said it would be a trilogy. the only thing i can hope for is that the reason they are being so secretive with the next game in the franchise is because they are gonna blow our mind with his return. additionally even though ethan perished like all the bosses he turned into dust (mold entities are super resilliant but can be killed with regular weapons) jack still came back in re7 end of zoe dlc after he turned to dust (but HEAVILY mutated), i think it's because the mold was still alive in louisiana even though its controller (eveline) wasnt physically alive anymore. then after all of the mold in the baker house and surrounding area has been cleaned up years later re8 happens, then even MORE years later the shadows of rose dlc happens and they confirm that a small part of the megamycete from village is still alive as well with the tiny sample kept in that lab. (most likely for further study on its biology and or the hivemind contained within) and with rose being the last person alive with any power to control mold she uses it for good (i think thats why they chose to color her mold abilities white instead of the dark mold that is used to create monsters and parasites) she could use her abilities and connection to bioweapon research to try and find a way to bring him back. (idk if chris would like this tbh but maybe if it gets ethan back he would allow it, either way i think she might try) all of these things point to ethan being able to POSSIBLY come back, (with the rules they set for the mold) but even though his conciousness is preserved in mold limbo just like jack he might not come back the same ethan that we know and love. (although maybe ethan will be the same if they find a way to manifest him as a mold zombie like he did in re7 because he isnt being mindcontrolled like jack, which is most likely the reason that swamp monster jack is still bloodthirsty even after eveline died) but this is wishful thinking on my part. but thats just my VERY unlikely crackpot theory (also i KNOW they wont do this next thing but wouldnt it be fuckin dope if ethan could regenerate from like a single drop of blood like wolverine. he's just an average guy with higher than average survival skills but still a regular dude in general and he fucking comes back from a mininuke out of pure spite and fatherly love lmao)

The real bummer is that Mia didn’t tell rose anything about Ethan, as rose says the only thing she know is that he died protecting her! Why didn’t she tell her how loving and caring her father was? That he saved her mom first then her! And It is clear they moved out of the first house after the death of Ethan so Mia didn’t take any of their belongings at all? How did she move out without finding the letter? And If she did find it, why didn’t she give it to rose so that she can know more about her father! I don’t like Mia.

Honestly, this DLC was fairly disappointing. Felt like going through half the main game all over again, just with a different character. I don't mind if assets are reused, but reusing whole areas of the game? Just seemed extremely lazy and low effort on Capcom's part. Guess I should be grateful none of Heisenburg's facility was reused since that felt way drawn out in the main story.

@@Niki-mp8qe yup it sets up for nothing which the dlc for 7 closed up the loose ends of that game and gave us a look into the people behind shipping the e type mold weapons and what happened to zoe and the area in general and gave us a hint maybe the mold could of still had an effect on ethan and mia given how it resisted the injection cure and kept bringing back someone to act as its will and we saw how it changed w zoe which looks more alike what happened w rose although that was just in her mind nothing shows what she can actually do outside that mold consciousness space
