Fun fact: On Lady Dimitrescu’s dress there are 3 black roses pinned above her left breast. According to the concepts art that has bits of lore attached, each rose represents one of her daughters. Alcina has the roses pinned to that part of her chest specifically to represent how she keeps her daughters near her heart. Lady Dimitrescu really loves her children ❤️

@Top Noodle I think the game was good but I certainly have my complaints. I found House Beneviento to be scary, but unfulfilling. The part with chasing Angie was too easy and nonsensical considering what we know about Donna’s abilities. I shouldn’t have even used the word chasing because Angie didn’t even run. I was also disappointed by the Dimitrescu’s lack of screen time. The trailers seemed to say that she would make a up a much larger part of the game than she actually did. I know that Capcom didn’t expect Lady Dimitrescu to be as popular as she is, and that for marketing reasons they featured her so prominently due to popularity, but damn I felt lied to. Even without Dimitrescu’s popularity, I don’t think it made sense for her to be the first boss. The castle is the most gorgeous part of Resident Evil, and maybe any video game I’ve ever seen. It would’ve been smart to save the best for last.

But, logically I think he wouldn't have ammo for it and there's no real reason for him to take it really. And even if he took it, it was most likely confiscated when he got rescued but I think he should've had at least bought a gun after the events of the past three years because I expected him to be a little paranoid so much so that he'd bought a gun to protect his family.

Would it really though, scientifically speaking? The flamethrower in RE7 was only really useful against bug hives. If was something more purpose built, It could push the werewolves away, but who knows if the Daughters would react to it since it was the cold that killed them. Flamethrowers in games are always underpowered for some reason.

I don't think they will literally die from exposure to cold temperatures. My observations suggest that the reason why Ethan Winters is able to do damage when they're exposed to cold is due to their Metamorphosis: Low temperatures appear to make them unable to morph back and forth between their two forms. Their damage resistance seems to be a product of their fly swarm form: They are able to avoid attacks by morphing into their fly swarm and scatter so that attacks fail to land. They're doing dodge maneuvering moves. So when exposed to cold, they lose their ability to morph, and they're stuck in their human form and that is how Ethan Winters is actually able to do some damage: The attacks are landing because they are unable to do their dodge maneuvering move.

I think there is additional info on the daughters found in the dungeons: 1) There is a note mentioning that there were 4 "candidates": Irina, Mihaela, Lois and Ingrid and there were a number of "rejects" (12 in total). Most likely Lady D was tasked by Mother Miranda to find suitable candidates that would react favourably with the Cadou. 2) The second note in the same dungeon after you fight off the "rejects" (I assume that those zombies were them - they all seem to have female bodies). The note says that Irina, Lois and Mihaela all had a robust appetite, while Ingrid was found to be "Unstable, overly alert at times". Later when you fight off one of the zombies in the dungeon you find "Ingrid's necklace" on her body. All of this lead me to think of the following: A) The bodies of Irina, Mihaela and Lois reacted favourably to the initial exposure to Cadou cells via Lady D and Mother Miranda gave them even more, which transformed them into Cassandra, Bella and Daniella (the new names were given to them by Lady D). B) Ingrid also reacted favourably to the cells, but showed psychological instability. Most likely she was the woman that left the note to the "Maiden" from the demo about the excape. C) Maiden then picks up the necklace during her escape, while trying to retrace the steps that Ingrid undertook, only to be captured by Lady D in the demo and ends up as one more zombie for Ethan to encounter in the dungeon. I now wonder if Ingrid did make it out from the castle? Maybe there will be a small DLC about her?

Ingrid is actually the character from the Maiden Demo as you find that necklace in the castle. When you pick up the necklace the inventory says it belongs to the character in the demo. My guess would be the experiments in that note are much more recent than the turning of the 3 daughters.

I really want a DLC where you play as a maiden. Hear me out. I know in the demo, you already play as a maiden, but that's it, a demo. Imagine a DLC where you play as a maid with other maids around. You get to see Lady Dimitrescu and the daughters in a more chilled manner, and maybe you make a mistake, so as the DLC progresses, you're up for candidate as an experiment or to have your blood turned to wine. Hell, maybe even play as the maiden who got her face slashed. Would also just love to see a Heisenberg DLC. I found him to be really interesting, especially since he's the only lord who looked remotely like a normal human.

Since we got so little of Alcina, Daniela, Bela and Cassandra in the base game, I would absolutely _love_ a DLC focused entirely on them, perhaps a prequel showing when they first started terrorizing the Village so that we could get more backstory on how they became so sadistic. Capcom would be crazy not to because of their immense popularity and fans being disappointed by their lack of screen time, myself among them! They are extremely interesting characters with very cool designs who have all lived for a little over 100 years, and they're a unique spin on vampires portrayed as bioweapons opposed to the traditional folklore they've been based upon, which in of itself is a concept that could have a game all its own. There's a certain Old World elegance, grace and sophistication to them that makes them so compelling, coupled with the fact that they genuinely seem to love and care about each other like a family, which isn't something monsters in the RE franchise have ever been known for. Seeing as Daniela, Bela and Cassandra were in fact humans prior to their mutations, I would like to know how Alcina came to adopt them and also learn more about Alcina herself. If we got a DLC where we get chased by all of them for like three+ hours, it would make up for their absence in the base game!

I mean, you can clear the castle without killing all of the daughters. Usually when a "queen" of a hive dies, the hive moves on and produces a new "queen" Also, the cold doesnt kill them, it makes them(the bugs) inert. Since the castle gets blown wide open at the end of the game, it's entirely possible that the BSAA acquired the inert daughter. It would be entirely safe to contain her, as she has a severe environmental weakness, that would require keeping her refrigerated in order to contain her.

The castle segment is the game's absolute highlight. It's a shame that everything afterwards cant compare in complexity and visual scope. They really frontloaded this game. The castle should've been twice as big/long and the final dungeon. As is you're having an amazing experience only to wade through much more linear and visually uninteresting settings like moreau's bog or heisenberg's factory for far longer than the castle lasted.

Theory: lady dimi was unable to have kids as a side effect of her gigantism (which also made her dreadfully insecure in her earlier years) so when she was approached by miranda and promised new powers including youth and fertility to carry on her lineage without even needing a man, in exchange for her house’s servitude and resources to carry out her own agenda over the villagers, she- at this time over 40 and living alone in her big villa/estate, accepted, moving back to her ancient family castle overlooking the village after becoming infected to create her evil daughters from mould and blood. Maybe her house will once again be great.

Dimitrescu's story arch in the game becomes more depressing the more you think about it. You break inter her home, kill her daughters and end her lineage simply to do what you think you're suppose to do. She is more of a victim acting in self defense than anything else. this adds to the horror aspect very well. The game is unexpectedly pretty Bioshock.

The weird thing is, in the painting of the three daughters they seem to be in the early 19th century, possibly 1840's (One can assume it from the way they're dressed) however it is said that Lady Dimitrescu herself was born in the early 1900's, is there something else going on????

It wasn't uncommon for some aristocrats to dress up in period costume for a photograph or painting at the time. I've also heard some gamers suggested that the portrait isn't actually of them but of ancestors whom she named them after.

The only thing that dissapoint me of this game is Lady D and her daughters are only part of the First Boss Fight. I thought we will see them more. I thought Lady D will be like Nemesis, Mr X or Jack Baker who likes to haunt the protagonist for the entire game. And Capcom makes Lady D popular because of her T H I C C N E S S. If I were the developer, I'd make Ethan goes to the lady with the puppet and fight Monster Baby, The Hunchback, The Castle, Heinseberg's factory and Mother Miranda.

I have yet to play the game but seeing these characters it seems like they could have done an entire game with them 4 only. Having Lady D as the main boss and her 3 daughters as smaller bosses throughout the game and also have Lady D appear throughout the game and maybe a middle game battle with her where she escapes. She also controls the werewolves and monsters you see throughout the game as well. Probably would have been more interesting from all the love I see she's getting. She looks like a badass character too and her daughters as well.

I'm really confused about their ages though. Because, it seems like Alcina and the 3 daughters were alive during the Victorian era, but weren't experimented on until far later. Alcina was only experimented on when she was in her 40s during the 1950's, but was very much alive and an adult during the Victorian era and was hella tall even then. Sure, the Victoria era ended in 1901, but it seems like Alcina was alive way before that.

I just don't find their personality descriptions to be that accurate at all. It says Daniela is the craziest one but in the game she seemed like the most quiet and less aggressive one. Also you fight her in the library so maybe she likes to read and that's her favorite spot? Plus, her voice sounds softer when she speaks. In the other hand you have Bela who apparently is the more quiet one, responsible, and with a strong head on her shoulders but in the game she acts the complete opposite, she seemed the most crazy and bloodthirsty of the three. Cassandra's personality description seems to be correct though. Plus I noticed she's the most playful.

You know, based on how much and not only the fandom loves big booba or mommy milky or whatever you want to call her. There will probably be more of her and the daughters in the future, probably a prequel dlc like “sisters” in re7, But a spin-off would be great. The dlc will probably be playing as different maids through different centuries. Doing maid things, failing, hiding and then being bottled. Being able to see how they change over the years and scenes of them interacting, fleshing them more out as characters.

I wish the sisters played a bigger role in the game. Maybe each daughter is placed in different parts in the castle and as your trying to collect the statue heads, they're trying to stop you. At the same time Lady D can also be chasing you wherever spot you are in the home. Then again, I still like how the game is.
