Once the game ended and the story parallels the fairytale, even more so mother Miranda, disguised as Mia, is telling this story prior to us knowing this, and saying it is a “local tale”, I thought that was genius.

Ethan said it's scary story for Rose because Mia (Miranda) only told the story to the part which the daughter being trapped inside the mirror, but if we heard all the story, it's such a great story to show how much love parants give to their children

I like to believe that Mother Miranda was actually so obsessed with this story, that she literally made it her entire reality in a sense. Although she refuses to read the ending because she truly identifies the girl as Eva and the Witch as herself. And what cruel irony befell as the very ending she hated happened anyway in the end.

0:17: Wow, I just noticed how much the "mother" looks like David Miller after he stole grandma's body. Cue Returnal. Doesn't the "Mother" look like the main character? That's our grandma but the demons stole her body. The "daughter" is actually Joe. That's a boy, but they insist on making him into a girl or saying he's a girl even though he's a boy. 0:32: This bat here is lit with Venus light. This is the real mother. What she gives is not "blood". That's honey. Come and taste the goodness of the Earth. Milk and honey, are a representation of abundance and mother's love in Catholic symbolism.

Compare 2:12 with 2:17. 2:17 is when the System has kicked out the faker doll demon. Doesn't the new voice sound much younger, like the voice of an older sister? Martha. And the rest of the story is the lesson that the demons never learned. They never said thank you and they snatched what they thought to be theirs before being offered. You don't Snatch!! You accept the gift with grace, and courtesy and say thank you. A demon controlled Joe's body, to begin with. See how the little doll felt very lifeless until the father and mother arrived. 2:52: Here, you see the background turn dirty and dark while Martha's story-telling was shrouded in warm brown. Here, the demon David James enters again. You can tell the tonal quality of the voice changes. That voice is what we call: 骚货voice. Listen to the final song. That guilt-tripping. Because of you, I am who I am. This is simply not true. The mother showed the demons more care but the demons never showed appreciation and only wanted more.

The real Joe wouldn't consider them "monsters". The Bat is the Mother. The Horse is Mephisto, and the Fish is Jacob. They are family. I have no clue who the skeleton is supposed to be. That's a computer generation.
