I feel like RE1 remake should have A and B scenarios. This is because in the original game, the story doesn’t make as much sense, due to Chris and Jill going through the same stuff, except for their companions (Barry and Rebecca). Heck, Richard dies twice in the game. I feel an A and B scenario would be great as we could see different things in each story and perhaps see an ending where both Rebecca and Barry survive.

The first time I heard about an open world for a possible RE9 I thought immediately about The Evil Within 2 and how disappointing it was (to me) compare to the first one, but now that you mention AW2 maybe if done correctly it could be a great game without sacrificing entirely the horror side of the game. On another hand, honestly with Capcom doing a (almost) perfect job with the franchise Im excited about any RE game they release, REHD remake it’s up to this day my favorite so having an upgrade for that one with its classic story and atmosphere would be Christmas for me 😂 And finally I’m still dreaming on having an CVX remake 🙏🏻

I’m starting to get really excited for what’s in store for us. I much prefer the RE2 and RE4 Remakes to 7 and Village as I’m not the biggest fan of Ethan’s storyline, so a new main character (or old if you wish) is very intriguing. Resident Evil OG has already been remade, so while it'll be great to see an Re 1 in modern graphics, essentially it's the same story with fresh new embellishments added to it. Re 9 though is something completely new. I'm not against 9 going the direction but I honestly thought the idea of RE9 being Set in Rural America in the Southwest would have been an interesting setting for the game I liked the rumored concept of Chris being the main protagonist with Leon and Jill being involved along with NPC in the game unaware of they were safe to be around. I know people feel it’s sacrilegious to remake RE1 since the first remake is survival horror perfected. However, I think it would be dope to be at the mansion with a free moving camera. I'm really surprised they wouldn't make Rose the protagonist or at least one of the main playable characters in RE9. I think I remember reading somewhere that 7-9 was supposed to be a trilogy with a connecting story over the three games. It just makes sense to me that they would have the grown-up/teenager Rose be a main part of the last game to close out this story arc. I really liked Ethan as a protagonist and thought his inclusion in the series, starting with RE7 breathed life into the series and made it fresh and interesting. When I finally got around to playing Village I remember thinking "This is already so interesting, I wonder where they'll take Ethan and the story in the next, last game in the series". Then with the ending, it put the kibosh on Ethan returning, but then the setup with Rose as the new protagonist seemed like the perfect opportunity to play out the final game in the trilogy. If the rumors are true about it being one of the returning RE veterans as main character, I hope it's Leon. I feel that Chris has severely overstayed his welcome in the series, and especially this far into the RE timeline. Even his appearance at the end of the mainline RE7 story kind of irked me. And then when the trailers for Village came out where he was heavily featured, I did get a little pissed. It seemed like he was stealing the show, and they were trying to inject the "Duhhhh, I'm big, tough action guy, Chris!! Me take down Umbrella" aura into the story and feel of the game. I think the fact that RE7 and most of RE8 weren't action-heavy blast 'em-ups and there was more a focus on story and creepy atmosphere is what made them so great. There was way less emphasis on Umbrella being the "mega-corrupt and influential corporation that is experimenting with new bioweapons that requires a special tactical team to go in and stop them" kind of vibe. I just hope they don't go too much in that direction with 9 and close it out on a high note.

I think this would be a disliked idea, but for a RE1 REremake would be cool in first person, to try and keep some of the tight tenseness, while changing it a little bit so people who disliked the fixed camera and tank controls access to a sort of original Resident Evil experience. @@KulkuriHotelli I respect your opinion but RE2 Remake's visuals are still amazing and there was an RT patch in between that updated the look. It would be a waste of time for Capcom to tackle another rework of this game after just 5 years. It would make much more sense to use this time to develop a brand new RE adventure. I would also be in favor of a "director's cut" of RE3 Remake in which the missing parts of the story are reintegrated.

@@Sum_Yousah I mean if RE1 remake comes out 2026 and RE9 in 2027 then they could release RE2 remake for 2029 and it'd be the 10th anniversary of the og. I mean they could update the mechanics to be more like RE4 with parrying and maybe even stealth

I'm glad for Alan Wake 2's evolution, but I hated AW1 when I first played it when it dropped all those years ago cuz it was a bland damsel in distress game, and I kinda coulda have cared less about saving his one dimensional, bland, washed out looking wife. Not a horror game in the least, it was a suspense/thriller at best if we're being nice; if y'all like it, I love it, whatever, but I hated AW1 way too much after I played it, I will not at all play AW2. Anyway, off rant, I hope we get a cv remake, re1 would be cool, but I won't hold my breath; they been saying that since RE:Make 2.

I'm more excited for RE9 I love the classic RE games but I'm ready for a new game and I really loved RE7 and RE8. I honestly think Capcom has an opportunity here to expand the RE Universe with 9 and whatever comes after 9 to give us new things in this world which is kind of what I'm waiting for at this point.
