Resident Evil Just Got a BIG Update For 2025...

Resident Evil just got a big update and some are NOT happy about it. With Resident Evil 4 Remake having launched last year and Resident Evil Village releasing two years earlier in 2021, the anticipation is at an all-time high for Resident Evil 9. Heavily rumored to be releasing in 2025, thanks to a new rumor from a reliable insider, Resident Evil 9 may just have been pushed back a year for a slated launch in 2026, but a new Resident Evil game is going to take its place in 2025. What is it and what else do we know about Resident Evil 9? We're diving deep into all that in this video.

I love the way you worded that. I have a serious problem with people saying it deserves a remake because it’s a worse game than the other ones. It’s still a more fun game than resident evil five as it is because I played them both the same year and I never played a fixed camera angle resident evil before so I’m not biased. I think five would be an overall better game if they got the remake treatment and has potential to be better, but I’m hoping they both get the remake. I really hope they remake the first game like they have been the other ones and completely re-hauled the third one and give us 0 as a sort of separate ways. Not for free of course. Then I never need another resident evil thing except for a Dino crisis remake, and then crossover with those games so we can have some zombie dinosaurs lol I think that would be sick

Idk some people want Veronica remake but me personally I want re5 remake. Prolly because I grew up playing it with my older brothers when I was little, but I guess it varies from everyone’s personal experiences. Some people played Veronica first but a lot more played re5 first. But I do think re5 will be the one to get the remake, because it was and still is more popular than re veronica.

@BlockAdsOnly IMO dinosaurs have more unpredictability in terms of various attacks (tail swipes, wrist grab & yank, jump on the player) not to mention they are faster than zombies. Hell developers could even add stealth mechanic to the game with today's advanced AI for NPCs.

I can see it being good but I think it needs to be done more so like village areas to explore but not a giant barren open world. To Capcom credit I think they could pull this off depending on how they execute it.

For RE9 I’d like to Jill (main character) and Chris rescuing Barry from an adult Natalia in a smaller quarantined Japanese town. I think it would make such an interesting visual setting for RE and could right the wrongs of RE3R but it will likely be Chris with Jill and wolfhound squad as side characters going after the BSAA somewhere rural in the US/Europe.

You want an open world Village map Where beyond the main quest. You are offered side quests and storylines. That don't alter your main story progress. One where the castle is able to be further explored without the threat of Lady D. I second that sentiment!

I'm on the fence about an open world game for RE. for awhile I've thought an open world horror game would be great, but I also like that the RE games are usually short and sweet. I've re played RE4 a dozen times, I couldn't see that with a 50 hour game

I'm not against an open world RE game, but I wouldn't want it to be too open. I'd prefer a setting like Dead Space Remake's Ishimura or Metal Gear Solid's Shadow Moses. These are very hostile locations open up gradually based on the player's actions.

Honestly, I wouldn’t mind an RE1. True, it’s been remade once. But it’s never been remade in the RE engine like 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8. If they’re going to “RE” the franchise, they should go back to 1. It would be so funny to see old fans see their expectations of RE5 go into shock from this announcement. I can see a large map RE9 however I don't think it'd be something like an RPG so big and open. I can see a more expansive version of the RE8 village. NPCs are an interesting take I get ironically Dead rising vibes but I imagine they'll be played with a serious tone if they do exist. I'm all for legacy characters in an Resident evil game interacting and there's a narrative potential for said characters to have their own DLC campaigns and stories that tie into the main story honestly there's a lot of potential in this concept. Give me Chris as a main character and a Lever action in the western side of America and I'd love it.

If it's gonna be funny, I wouldn't be surprised if it's some sort of Hunk/Tofu compilation. Personally I've always wanted to see a game/movie that takes place in Racoon City before the mansion incident. I hope we get a 2 or 3 in one game with resident evil code Veronica and resident evil 5 ( and maybe a 4 part dlc re6 - perfect re fan collection then after we enjoy that and kinda maybe hit on major point that might come back up in apocalypse- And some interesting cgi movie maybe a book … get the fans ready for resident evil apocalypse ( If we get a platinum trophy in the new remake(s) that will unlock a demo of re9 ( like they used to do with gamers give them some secrets or cool stuff when we beat the ENTIRE game or on a certain difficulty within a certain amount of time )and then finally the biggest budget open world hopefully masterpiece re-9 comes out I kinda feel like this re-9 is gunna be heavily inspired by re village and silent hills new look games also coming out - on top of so probably looking the best game quality wise !
