Should be? SHOULD BE?!!!! This game NEEDS to be remade, or at least, remastered. This was perhaps one of the best Co-Op games that took place in the RE universe and the BEST to take place in Raccoon City. In-between the stories and character connections (I.e. Yoko, Alyssa, and of course, Kevin) that felt like they were canon to the characters that we know(Marvin for example) and that maybe...they were in some way canon. i digress but point being, bring this classic back for God's sake

It was criminally underrated then and needs to be given a fair chance nowadays...also Outbreak File 2 was the worst selling of the Two, Outbreak one sold a million copies.

My one hope if they do decide to remake outbreak is that it stays true to the original. Meaning all the unlockables, nightmare, infinite ammo etc isnt put behind a DLC or paywall.

Honestly i would be happy with remaster. high resolution 60fps, improve the game visually, shadows,lights etc and we need good servers.

Resident evil outbreak deserves a remake!! Such a very difficult challenge i experienced wen i was young, took 4ever 2 beat but waaaay worth it. I wanna go bac 2 this game as a remake. And yes raccoon city deserves 2 b in the game. Yea 0 1 2 and 3 were in raccoon city, but only in the arklay forest, the mansion, the raccoon city police department, alley ways, sewers, underground labs. I want 2 experience the game all around the city, just like outbreak and file 2 did. Raccoon city open world. Everywhere that would take us 2 different places, even the raccoon city police department. More places like the zoo, the subway station, the hospital, raccoon university. All of it!! I want that in the remake of Resident Evil Outbreak

Outbreaks mechanics and graphics, to me, are perfect, especially the graphics. But modern controls and a facelift would play really well. If they do remake OB I would want to add to the lore, the story, the characters because the story is the best part.

Racoon city chronicles. Numerous stories played online released as small self contained stories and characters. Could be exciting when new chapters release. After a good 20 or so create a true survival mode starting from the first moment of the outbreak in the town to fleeing ona chopper.

These titles have always been up there with the original 3 titles for me. Kept everything that made the OG games great while adding just enough newness and shine without going overboard. I never got to play online as a kid, but man, I still had so much fun. If they ever did remake them, I seriously hope they keep the camera angles. It added so much suspense. If they could make a mix of the old games with some of what Dead Frontier did would be fun.

There is so much Capcom can do with just the raccoon city incident and the Arklay murders. Doesn’t even have to be from the perspective of the mainline characters and Outbreak did just that. Resistance could’ve had potential if it was canonized and with a fully developed story. Hell, I feel like they can do a standalone title playing as an Arklay sheriff or something sent to investigate the grisly murders that were reported I think almost a week before the raccoon city outbreak. It can be a more investigative/detective kind of gameplay with fewer encounters but meant to absolutely terrifying when you do. However Outbreak really needs a remake. Could be cool to even have a dlc with the UBCS. I haven’t played Outbreak since around the time it released but I think I remember seeing a cutscene of when Nikolai breached the gate and let the BOWS in. There is much they can do with it.

I couldn't agree more - when RE: Outbreak came out, I bought two copies right away and played it with my wife (we had two PS2s and two TVs for gaming back then); as fans of the series since the PSX era, it was a grand time for both of us to _finally_ be able to work together fighting enemies and solving puzzles. And then when File 2 came out, we did the same. Then I saw the first RE: Resistance trailers and _was absolutely elated_ - I totally thought they were making some new iteration of Outbreak, or something similar. I was sorely disappointed when i found out what it actually was (though I still played it at length on PS4 and had fun with it!). I honestly haven't 'had the pleasure' of playing RE: Verse, but I've only heard negative things about it. I think Capcom struck on something great all those years ago and is just kinda spinning their wheels with new multiplayer ideas, and/or chasing what fads they believe could work. I assume - nay, _I hope_ - that they pull their heads out of their asses, and we eventually get some damn remakes! 😮‍💨

I think if they remake it, or make it a new, add all the old maps from files one and two, If they make it a live service the same way how games like hell divers is, but also give them the option for single player mode where friends can join in or out, It could work, in a way that it keeps the game itself alive, Even making each location the same but different in a way, adding procedual generate those maps to change a bit but not to much or locations can not be accessed so easily, keep the old characters and add story to them as you play, even adding the newer games locations for those character, like the journalist who is mentioned in some of the games from outbreak, You had alt skins you could use in file 1 and 2, and in the live service, they can set up a battle pass if they really wanted to, but really skins would be big, with some of the old skins from the outbreak 1 and 2 being unlockable and more primmer ones people can procure. Adding new maps and locations as it goes on or locations in those regions where the other main stories are located. A lot they can do right with it if they tried to make.

Random question regarding RE: Outbreak for whomever wants to indulge me - Who was your favorite character to play as? 🤔 I was a David main - I always liked doing 'knife only' runs in the old games, and with David's knife combos it was usually pretty easy for me to go through each scenario using either his default folding knife (😒) or the kitchen knife (🥰). File 2 made this even easier with the final combo hit sending zombies flying!

First, Capcom needs to stop experimenting with other RE multiplayers like Resistance. Second, they need to be committed. Stop half arsing it. If they decide to Remake Outbreak, they really should look at how to expand on what worked and fix what didn’t work. Look at how they can continue to add more and more new content overtime. Bring Racoon City to life as we try to survive the Outbreak!

I never played outbreak but always wanted to. If they did a full remake they'd probably 'modernize' it and I would be less interested. I want tank controls and fixed camera angles and pre-rendered backgrounds, that's what makes Resident Evil Resident Evil to me.

The thing is while both outbreaks were really good fun and had a solid following, they were not really as successful as they seemed and that's Why Capcom is hesitant about investing money and resources on this, the demand isnt really that big, We're just loud about it

I prefer they remaster it so we can get it sooner and I wouldn't mind playing it on the Switch because after the remakes for 2-3 which wouldn't work without a constant internet connection so remaking Outbreak will kill the hope playing it on every console.

IT’s a tired argument. I frankly don’t understand why Capcom hasn’t done at the very least a repackaging. They LOVE DLC and this is the one time people would actually happily pay for it. They could easily just make harder modes. Kinda akin to a dungeon crawl, or even a FF style boss fight. Have people have thier “apartments”, where they can grow food, and team up with other survivors. They can go out on missions and level up until they are read to fight the big bosses. At that point, they could so timed events, special gear drops.. the usual. Have a mode where it’s possible to fight your way out the city if your that good. Make it a world wide event. I mean, the possibilities are endless. It wouldn’t even cost them much if they did it right. Everything doesn’t have to be big budget or revolutionary. We just want outbreak back in some form. Start off with he first game for like 25 bucks or whatever and build from there. They are not even testing the waters.. but we been talking about this for 20plus years.. yet they keep making these horrible multiplayer that no one wants.

Problem is new generations want explosions, trigger happy, fast paced gameplay. Outbreak is Classic RE gameplay+online. Thats the risk capcom faces. Also to be decent service it should have dedicated servers, which habe monthly fee.
