Bad rain did die- at the end Alice shot the ice around her, causing her to fall into the water and be attacked by the undead things in there.

A cloned spence would fit better considering Alice did kill him, and an extra one as Alice`s husband instead of Carlos. They were "married" in the first movie so.. DE JA VU ANYONE? haha
