Imo this was the best re game on ps3 i played the shit out of it but i dunno if thats saying much considering what we got on that system. Re 6 was playable only in coop with a friend and still painful at times... Alex wesker was a cool villain too

Honestly the most under-rated RE game of all time imo. Every mode was fantastic, not just the Mercenaries like in RE6, and not just decent campaigns in most of new entries, this captures both like classic RE2 did.

This one's on the top underrated gems from RE series. I love the transitions between story A and B throughout the gameplay. Enemies are hard to target since they tend to move around a lot. Nice seeing bawk do a full playthrough with this :)

But I never made the connection between Pedro saying "Ill be examining this" and Barry from the original with Chris's blood, up until now... How could I have missed it!? Thanks bawk! Hilariously, after playing EVERY RE game from age 9 to now at age *cough cough-four*. the big bugs in the trash compactor are the only ones I've ever had nightmares about. Wasn't even really a nightmare, just there was one on my window in the dream and I couldn't figure out how to kill it haha.

At 3:35:45 the part where you said there is two doors, there is a part where your correct for secrets. Its the drill you can obtain it early for barry if you kill him as clair in the vossek, you then go all the way up stairs and there is one of the 6 secret larvea natalia can find 6 magnum bullets , and a chest ( cant remember whats it in it) but skips the fight with pedro entirely as he is already dead, skipping the bottom part with those "things". But its mainky purely to collect all chests and larvea for barrys campaign.

Played this a 2 or 3 times and never saw the good ending; even if you pay attention to the story and figure out it would be good for moira to 'grow' and use a gun in an important situation, the game just puts you in control of Claire and the gun is right there at the press of a button. Like I don't even remember having enought time to see the 'pseudo-suggestion' prompt reminding you you can switch characters. The fact the game goes on normally for an hour+ after the choice with no hint about its repercussion didnt help either. So I'm glad I watched your whole playthrough.

I love how easy this game is, even on survival, when you realize that Moira is OP. With skills on her melee dmg, you can just go stun+melee everyone, while hoarding and saving tons of ammo for bossfights. Also the fact what she cant be killed, unlike Claire, allows you to go on full crowbars rampage with almost no risk. Love Moira, my favorite character in this game.

Honestly, this game is super underrated for what it is. While I feel its far from perfect, and the episodic structure plus some of the microtransaction/DLC stuff the game has is somewhat abysmal, the core game itself is pretty solid all in all. Its one of the few times prior to RE2 Remake where I felt they actually married the ideas of third person shooting and horror pretty well for the series, of course alongside certain segments of the first Revelations. This game overall just feels like the Ship sections of the first Revelations, but IMO of a somewhat lesser quality, though that still makes it WAY more consistent then the mess that was the rest of Revelations. The only real issues I have with Revelations 2 gameplay wise tends to just be Natalia in general, and the lack of being able to play Co-op online despite it being a feature locally, and raid mode having online co-op. Stealth being implemented felt kind of off/odd to me as well really, but it can be somewhat ignored so its not a huge deal. Really would have loved to see what this game could have been if it had a larger budget, and had been developed as a full game without the episodic structure.

@@littlebadassgaming it's really hard if you aren't doing it co op, mostly because if you land even a single shot, they change position. So you have to completely refigure their position out, and even if you do, they often move to dodge you.

After RE6 took the series in a weird direction, it was Revelations 2 that convinced me Capcom could still make a good Resident Evil game with a stronger emphasis on horror and character driven story. It still has a bit of that RE4 action game DNA, but it looked like Capcom knew how to get the series back on track, something confirmed when RE7 came out. Still hope that one day we can get Revelations 3 to resolve that cliffhanger at the end of the game.

8:37:00 I felt the same way about RE2 Remake as he does about RE3 Remake. Needlessly changing character's appearances (Claire looks NOTHING like RE2/CVX/Degeneration/Rev2 Claire even omitting red hair, and Leon looks more blonde and puny, and acts even more like a naive pushover), they cut enemies (Remake1 still has Spiders and Crows, this should not only be consistent with that game, but add Crimson Heads/Regis Licker to complete the zombie metamorphasis on screen finally, as well as have cameos from Hunters and Nemesis from RE3 since they were at the same time and place!), and worst of all music (Remake1 remastered RE1's really good OST, doing the same with RE2 is NOT THAT HARD, also, that game has music in it and is realistic, cutting it in general is a joke). Further, they cut/rearranged places, like you start off basically at the station, that kills the mood from the original where you have to fight your way to it going through the torn up city with personality, and the factory, which is also in RE0 so there's no excuse honestly, are they going to remake 1 and 0 and retcon Crimson Heads now too? Also, Mercenaries was new to RE3, but imagine if RE2 had one as well? That would have improved the original, and everyone forgets the Duelshock version had Extreme Battle, I wanted to finally have a chance to try it, but it looks like I'll just have to buy that version of RE2 to play it.

That’s what raid mode is exactly for, since that has all the unlockable characters to level up and play with, but i like the actual unique style of an asymmetrical coop for story which allowed Moira to have a good melee weapon and playing as the girl allows for finding ammo and scouting for Barry.
